Lin Bu is a famous hermit in the early Song Dynasty.Born in Qian Jiang City of Zhejiang province,he was granted the posthumous title Hejing and he is well-known as Hejing.The famous Japanese scholar of classical Chinese literature,Kikuya Nagasawa,includes a volume of Lin's poetry anthology in his book,namely the Collection of Chinese poems,the Japanese block-printed edition.Therefore,the thesis takes Lin's works as researching target.Based on his poetry anthology,namely the Collection of poems by Hejing,the thesis makes an intensive research about the circulation of the anthology in East China and Japan.Considering the development status of culture,finance,science and technology in both China and Japan,the thesis focuses on the artistic achievements of his poetry and makes a respectively full and objective research on the related issues,including the inscription and circulation of his anthology in Japan.The thesis intends to give a full view of his poetry anthology,and locate the achievements as well as the contributions of Lin's works to the point.In the first chapter,introduction about the Japanese block-printed books is made.Starting with the analysis on Japan's Sinology,the thesis explores the Sino-Japanese cultural origin.Based on when and how the classical Chinese literature got spread to Japan,the thesis explores the circulation of the classical Chinese literature in Japan.The concept of the Japanese block-printed books is introduced,while the eastward propagation of the printing technology is discussed.When and how printing technology got spread to Japan is analyzed,while the social and technical reasons for the emergence of the Japanese block-printing technology is revealed.Moreover,the application and development of the printing technology is analyzed,which lays the foundation for the following paragraph.In the second chapter,introduction about the Japanese block-printed edition of the Collection of poems by Hejing is made.Based on all the main existing editions of his anthology,when and how they got imported to Japan is deduced.Taking cultural exchange as entry point,the thesis discusses the time and trace of his works into Japan.The thesis focuses on the five-mountain literature and specifically analyze the role that monks play in the Sino-Japanese cultural communication,so that the eastwardpropagation of the Collection would be clearer.In the third chapter,studies on Lin Bu cultural phenomenon is conducted.Based on Lin's writing style and the Sino-Japanese cultural characteristics,as well as the attention that both China and Japan pay to him,the underlying reasons why Lin's works could be popular in Japan are discussed.Coupled with the related knowledge of communication and canonization science,it is apparent that the Collection of poems by Mr.Hejing plays an import role in both Sino-Japanese cultural communication and literature history.This part is mainly the detailed work about Lin Bu's anthology,including the detailed organization,annotation and emendation.There are several versions about Lin's poetry anthology,and each version is unique.Therefore,in this part,the thesis aims to add more contents to the Collection of poems by Mr.Hejing.All the related names,places,Buddhist terms and particular terms in specific times have been marked while the related allusions have been listed with original texts following the poems.Comments from the later generations have also been listed,to benefit readers.
