The predecessor of the All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals was the Chinese Student Union Hall established in 1902,by Cai E Fan Yuanlian,Cao Rulin,Zhang Zongxiang and others of the Chinese students studying in Japan,with the assistance of the Chinese Embassy in Japan.The Members of the All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals are all Chinese students studying abroad in Japan.It is aimed at "maintaining the rights of students studying in Japan,maintaining national dignity,and successfully completing the studies of students in Japan." It is the core group of Chinese students studying abroad in Japan.In 1905,the Ministry of Education of Japan promulgated a "Rules of Prohibition" which seriously damaged the legitimate rights of Chinese students studying in Japan.Under the leadership of the All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals,Chinese students from Japan have carried out massive protests and waged a resolute struggle in the form of a collective student's strike.In May 1915,Yuan Shikai openly accepted the "Twenty-One Demands" proposed by the Japan.In December,he announced that he would accept the imperial position.After the Chinese students in Japan heard the news,they braved heavy rains to convene a conference in Tokyo,Japan,to rebuild All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals.Li Dazhao was elected as the congress' s draft “Teach the National Companion Book”,which painfully unmask the Japanese imperialist invasion of Chinese ambition and history,call for the common opposition of the people.In addition,in response to Yuan Shikai's autocratic monarchy,On the one hand,All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals defend the Republic's achievements through their support with the southwest national defense army;On the other hand,through the founding of "Min Yi" magazine,it profoundly criticized feudal despotism and publicized democratic republicanism.Under the common struggle of compatriots at home and abroad,the "Twenty-One Demands" proposed by Japan has finally ended.Yuan Shikai was forced to cancel the absolute monarchy,and the lonely death.In 1918,Duan Qirui with Japan to sign a Sino-Japanese military agreement,which again triggered protests by Chinese students studying in Japan.Under the leadership of the All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals,Chinese students from Japan have established a national salvation group,returned to China collectively,and carried out anti-Japanese salvation activities.The Chinese National Student Salvation Group has carried out extensive patriotic activities in China and has prepared conditions for the outbreak of The May Fourth Movement.In 1919,after the outbreak of the May Fourth Movement,All-Japan Federation of Overseas Chinese Professionals of Tokyo not only expressed their solidarity with the domestic patriotic students,but also sent representatives to repatriate to support the May Fourth Movement,which made an important contribution to the great anti imperialist and anti feudal movement in modern Chinese history.
