Virtue ethics is an important moral theory,and it faces challenges while solving practical moral problems for people.Among them,the most important challenge comes from how to solve the problem of the unity of the virtues.The definition of the concept of the virtues that lacks unity will develop over time and the development of practice.The original concept definition cannot be used in the current context.Understanding the phenomenon will lead to the invalidity and confusion of the concepts of virtues in the application of moral life,which will eventually have a negative impact on the virtue ethics theory.Therefore,many virtue ethicists have given or tried to give solutions to how the virtue is unified in their works.Among these solutions,the research of McIntyre's moral narrative is the most prosperous.This article is divided into four parts: The first part mainly discusses the topic selection and practical significance of the thesis,the current status of Chinese and foreign research,as well as the writing ideas,writing methods,and the innovative points of the thesis;The similarities and differences and the source of McIntyre's moral narrative ideas are explained,and the conceptual obstacles are cleared for the following discussion;the third part mainly discusses how McIntyre constructs moral narrative under the framework of virtue and traditional research.This part mainly solves the question of what and why of Mc Intyre's moral narrative.It answers what are the elements of moral narrative,what are the social relationships required by moral narrative,how is the unity ofmoral narrative to self possible and why can moral narrative And how to guide us to acquire virtue;the fourth part talks about how the moral narrative of life practice develops the historical moral narrative.It discusses how McIntyre completed the consciousness and methodology of moral narrative thought in the traditional perspective of inquiry,so as to complete the moral narrative thought.The development of McIntyre's moral narrative thinking basically shows that his research has returned from the modernity research framework to the pre-modernity morality research framework;and then changed from the pre-modernity morality research framework to traditional inquiry View the changing process of research.McIntyre's moral narrative sprouted from his critique of modernity;the historical moral narrative developed in the study of virtue;the moral narrative formed in the life practice built under the traditional perspective of inquiry.McIntyre's moral narrative thought not only solves the unity of all virtues,but also has obvious support for its own moral theory and traditional moral inquiry framework,so it has an important moral philosophy position.
