The International Film Festival is an important window for countries to show their unique cultural and social features.The cannes film festival,the Berlin film festival and the Venice film festival are the three major international film festivals in Europe.The films,directors and actors participating in the three major European film festivals come from all over the world.There are no geographical restrictions,and artistry is the highest indicator.The modern transformation in the course of China's reform and opening to outside has prompted different social class to present different layers and flows throughout the social structure,one of the most noticeable changes is the expansion of China's underclass.A movie is an asymptote of reality.The director presents the experience of the shadowy underlying characters to social darkness and human distortions in front of the audience,leading the audience to further understand and care about the bottom.This article has carried out a detailed summary analysis of the total number of award-winning films,the subject matter and the roles of the award-winning films in China's three major film festivals in Europe since1988.It can be seen that these award-winning films meet the award criteria set by the three major film festivals and reflect a common critical realist aesthetic preference.The award-winning film focuses on the survival methods and tragedy of the bottom people and bottom women,and reflects the social and ethnic characteristics of China for Western audiences.The shaping of the underlying discourse has a certain positive significance for the transformation and development of society,but the stereotypes of poverty,backwardness,and ignorance also confirm the superiority of Western systems and cultures.There are still many deficiencies in the external image of China's bottom-level characters,which require film and television workers to think deeply about thecommunication strategies of the bottom-level images of Chinese award-winning films.The film describing the characters in the bottom layer reflects the phenomenon of class solidification,inequality between the rich and the poor,and gender prejudice in social reality.It lashes the ugly ugly human nature,arouses the attention and reflection of these issues,and increases the channels for the speech of the bottom layer.This kind of art film has the social function of art criticism,and directors who take humanistic care as their foothold are worthy of their awards at the three major European film festivals.In the global multicultural competition and integration,the western imperialist cultural trends and values have continuously penetrated the East,and China's cultural security and aesthetic security are facing great challenges.Chinese directors should be committed to changing the western caricature imagination and misunderstanding of China in the three major European film festivals,which requires us to grasp the special context of global modernity on the macro level,and reconstruct the image of ordinary people at the bottom from the perspective of film texts on the micro level,change the ugly imagination and misunderstanding of China in the West,so that the award-winning film truly contains the human emotion and unique spirit of the Chinese nation.
