Causal conjunctions play a very important role in Chinese,and it is difficult for Nigerian Chinese learners to understand,master and use them.At present,there are many researches related to conjunctions,but few researches are focused on the acquisition of causal conjunctions by Nigerian students.In this paper,students from the University of Nnamdi Azikiwe,The Federal Institute of technology of Oko and Confucius Institute of Lagos are taken as the objects of investigation to analyze a group of conjunctions expressing causality.The purpose of this paper is to summarize the types of errors in the acquisition of Chinese causal conjunctions by Nigerian students,and to analyze the causes of these errors.Finally,based on the results of the analysis,teaching strategies that is functional,with interest and knowledge are put forward.There are five chapters in this paper:The first chapter is the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the research background,the reason and significance of the topic,and makes a summary of the previous research results to determine the research methods,research objects and theoretical basis of the research.The second chapter focuses on the common mistakes of Nigerian learners in the acquisition of Chinese causal conjunctions.Further clarify the key concepts and make a detailed definition and classification of Chinese causal conjunctions.Obtain the error types in the research samples.These errors include: omission,addition,order,substitution,and causal conjunctions in multiple repetition sentences.Nigerian students often mix semantically similar words,so selection is their most common type of error.The analysis of each kind of errors provides examples of students' errors as confirmation.The third chapter analyzes the causes of the errors of Nigerian learners.We analyze the causes of errors from different perspectives,including the influence of students' own factors,the influence of teaching materials,the influence of environment,etc.Only through a clear understanding of the causes of errors can we find effective solutions.The fourth chapter gives some useful suggestions and strategies for Nigerian students to avoid the errors of causal conjunctions.In view of the above reasons,this paper puts forward some practical and targeted suggestions for Nigerian students,including the selection of teaching methods,the correct use of learning strategies,the compilation of teaching materials,classroom implementation management,etc.The author thinks that teachers can arrange more teaching activities for students,enrich classroom exercises,and design targeted learning tools from students' Chinese proficiency.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which briefly summarizes the main content,research results and shortcomings of the paper,so as to better prepare and improve future research.
