A Performance Study Of Bach's Suite 812 Menuet 1

In piano performance,there are many factors that affect players and listeners.What kind of performance and sound will be favored by most people? From an empirical view,this study selected Bach's ‘suite 812 Menuet 1'as the case and investigated the tempo and timbre of a phrase.Among them,the perspective of tempo analysis is IOI value--measuring the length between the sound and the next sound--which can reflect the tempo is stable or not.The measurement parameter of timbre is PSD value,that is,the standard deviation value of the partials,which reflects the difference degree of loudness of several partials.Furthermore,this study combines the performance guidance of a clavichord player and a pianist to put forward performance suggestions of the whole piece.
