With the advent of the 5G era,VR(Virtual Reality)has become a hot spot for people in the industry and fans.Many fields have tried to integrate the "VR + mode" and achieved a qualitative leap.However,advances in VR technology cannot compensate for the weak narrative of panoramic movies.Among them,the application of traditional film narrative techniques in the field of virtual reality film and television encountered difficulties and bottlenecks.Therefore,the innovation of the narrative language of virtual reality movies has become the key to innovation through breaking the current bottleneck of panoramic movies.Then,in the context of the rapid development of technology,in response to the problems in the narrative of panoramic films,we carry out narrative research on panoramic film short films.Through the exploration and practice of the narrative language of panoramic movies,a research method for narrative language of panoramic movies is constructed.The first part,through sorting out related literature,understands the characteristics of virtual reality and the origin and evolution of movies.It also explains the classification of virtual reality movies and explores the narrative development of traditional movies and panoramic movies.Through the literature reading method,the current situation of panoramic movies is studied,and the limitations of panoramic movies are discussed.The second part explores the similarities between narrative language and the characteristics of panoramic film from the perspective of narratology.By comparing and analyzing excellent panoramic short films and traditional films,the advantages and limitations of panoramic films are summarized.Explore the multi-angle narrative techniques in traditional movies and analyze their relationship with the characteristics of panoramic movies.The third part focuses on the advantages and limitations of the panoramic movie.It transforms the multi-angle narrative theory in the traditional movie into a three-dimensional narrative theory,and explains the focused and superimposed three-dimensional narrative process.Then,from the perspective of camera position,situation setting,and sound picture,a new language for panoramic film narrative is constructed.The fourth part,based on the new language of panoramic movie narrative as the theoretical basis,designs the content of panoramic movie and applies the three-dimensional narrative theory of panoramic movie to practice shooting.With the theme of "Dream Back to the Ancient City",and using computer software such as Unity3 D and 3d Max,a virtual scene of the ancient town is built to restore the buildings of the ancient town.Panoramic movie short films are composed of six-action fragments,so as to explore the feasibility of the new language of panoramic movie narrative.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn.First,panoramic movies should pay more attention to narrative than panoramic games.Second,traditional film narratives can be incorporated into panoramic film narratives.Third,it is feasible to apply three-dimensional narrative theory in panoramic movies.Through discovering the problems in the research,aiming at the shortcomings and limitations in practice,we look forward to the future narrative form and development of VR films.
