The popularity of mobile devices,the development of network technology and the abundance of English learning resources online in China have created good conditions for English mobile learning.English is one of the compulsory basic courses for students in secondary vocational schools stipulated by the Ministry of Education.The English foundation of students in secondary vocational schools is generally weak and uneven,and they have great difficulties in English learning.It can meet the English learning requirements of students in secondary vocational schools anytime and anywhere.This study adopts questionnaire and interview to investigate the current situation of English mobile learning among students in secondary vocational schools from the following three aspects: 1.What attitude do students in secondary vocational schools have towards English mobile learning? 2.What do students in secondary vocational schools learn through English mobile learning? 3.What are the factors influencing English mobile learning for students in secondary vocational schools? The participants are 260 students from Secondary Vocational Education Center School of Chengyang,some students are selected from MOs oink Cloud Classes and some from the non-MOs oink Cloud Classes.Twenty of them are interviewed.Finally,SPSS Statistics22 is used for data analysis.The research finds that: firstly,most students in secondary vocational schools have a positive attitude towards English mobile learning.They believe that mobile devices can help them find relevant English learning resources,can help them obtain course materials anytime and anywhere,and is a very useful tool for English learning.They also hold a positive attitude towards the interactive activities in English mobile learning between teachers and students and students.Secondly,students in secondary vocational schools have a wide range of English mobile learning,the top ones are to inquire and download,and the rest not only involves various English skills such aslistening,speaking,reading,writing,but also exam-taking training.The students of MOs oink Cloud Classes not only have a wide range of English mobile learning,but also have nearly full participation in all learning contents,with a balanced degree of participation.The students in the non-MOs oink Cloud Classes have a little higher participation in inquiring and downloading,while have a very low participation in other terms.Thirdly,most students in secondary vocational schools believe that English mobile learning is easily distracted by the entertainment and social functions of mobile devices.Nearly half of the students think that their English mobile learning will be affected by difficulty to select from the large amount of Internet resources,the lack of English mobile learning software and activities,and the lack of knowing how to use mobile phones to learn English.This shows that students in secondary vocational schools need training and guidance in English mobile learning.There are some shortcomings in the design of this research questionnaire,the future research can improve the questionnaire in order to have a more objective understanding of English mobile learning status of secondary vocational students.
