Executive function is a psychological processing process that regulates the motivation of human cognition and action.The current research on executive function mainly divides executive function into inhibition control,working memory and cognitive flexibility.Executive function is a video game researchers for the study of an important point of the game behavior: for a long time in the process of playing video games by the player the prefrontal cortex is cured or change the information processing in the process of increasing the behavior of the individual ability to help achieve this initiative process.Each a different player for video games is different types of preference,these different game in imperceptible to the player's attention selection,decision-making,conscious processing produce different effects,such as the game features researchers,is that different types of video game players long-term experience of the impact of executive function.This research takes this as the starting point,in order to better improve the pertinence,accuracy and scientificity of the executive function research.In this study,we divided video games into(1)action games(such as shooting games,fighting games,etc.).(2)adventure games(such as text adventure,puzzle solving,etc.);(3)simulation games(such as strategy simulation,business development);(4)role-playing games(such as massively multiplayer online role-playing games);(5)there are 5 types of competitive games(such as music,MOBA,racing,etc.)to explore the influence of different types of video games on people's executive functions,deepen the understanding of the players' executive functions,and provide theoretical reference for game developers to improve people's intelligence and executive ability.This study behavior experiments of the different types of video games on players in inhibitory control,working memory and executive function differences on cognitive flexibility function,study respectively the Stroop task,N-back from inhibitory control tasks,task switching experiment paradigm,working memory and cognitive flexibility three latitude,the executive function of different types of video game players.Based on the above research,the conclusion of this study is as follows :(1)action games,simulation games and role-playing games can improve players' inhibition andcontrol ability;However,adventure games and competitive games have no obvious effect on the inhibition and control ability of players.(2)the inhibition and control ability of adventure players is better than that of role-playing players;Simulation players have better inhibition control than role-playing players.There are no specific differences between the other players' inhibition controls.(3)adventure games and competitive games can improve the working memory ability of the subjects;However,action games,simulation games and role-playing games had no significant effect on the working memory ability of the subjects.(4)the working memory ability of adventure games players is better than that of competitive games,simulation games and role-playing games;Action gamers had better working memory than role-playing players.The working memory ability of competitive game players is better than that of simulation game players and role-playing game players.There was no specific difference between the inhibition and control functions of other players(5)action games could improve the cognitive flexibility of the subjects;However,adventure games,simulation games,role-playing games and competitive games had no significant effect on the cognitive flexibility of the subjects.(6)the cognitive flexibility of action game players is better than that of adventure game players and simulation game players.There was no significant difference between the other players' inhibition controls.
