As an indispensable part of English writing teaching,writing feedback is an important means to help to improve the effect of writing teaching and students' writing ability.Teachers' writing feedback refers to the written or oral feedback the teachers provide for students to help them to correct writing mistakes.In this study,it mainly refers to teacher written feedback.So far,there have been quite some fruitful studies on teachers' writing feedback at home and abroad,but comparative studies on writing feedback between experienced teachers and novice teachers are relatively inadequate.Therefore,it is of great significance for the writer to conduct a comparative study on writing feedback between the experienced teacher and the novice teacher.The research participants in this study are two English teachers in Grade One in a senior high school,with one being an experienced teacher and the other a novice teacher and two of their classes.Based on process writing theory,interaction hypothesis theory and noticing hypothesis theory,by using corpus analysis by the author and interviews and questionnaires,the main research questions in this study can be briefly summarized as follows:(1)In senior high school English writing feedback,what are the differences between the experienced teacher and the novice teacher in terms of feedback focus,feedback form and feedback style?(2)What are the students' attitudes towards the experienced teacher's and the novice teacher's writing feedback respectively?By analyzing the data,this study finds that there exist various degrees of differences between the experienced teacher and the novice teacher in terms of feedback focus,feedback form and feedback style.On feedback focus,the experienced teacher focused more on details,but the novice teacher focused more on structure;on feedback form,the feedback frequency of the experienced teacher is higher than the novice teacher,and the experienced teacher has formed a relatively fixed indirect feedback system,however,the novice teacher is not mature and complete enough on this aspect;on feedback style,the novice teacher has more ample feedback styles than the experienced teacher.In addition,there also exist differences between students from the experienced teacher's class and the novice teacher's class in terms of the attitude,reaction,current situation and expectation on writing feedback and the difference on their attitudes are the most obvious.
