A Study On The Narrative Art Of Tanzanian Railway Documentary

Tazara railway is a "major artery" of East African traffic.Since its completion in1975,it has been playing an important role in the transportation and transportation of goods for the people of Tanzania and Zambia.As one of the large-scale projects of China's assistance to Africa,it is also an indelible monument in the history of China Africa relations.In recent years,with the "the Belt and Road" promoting the in-depth cooperation between China and Africa,the earliest aid project of Tazara railway has attracted the attention of documentary creators,and a series of documentary films with relevant themes have been derived,which Mainly show its status as a traffic vehicle or focus on describing the historical process of construction.The documentary film with Tazara railway theme has gradually become a unique documentary film System.By studying the narrative structure and characteristics of the documentary about Tazara railway,this paper focuses on the exploration and analysis of how the overseas creators construct the image of China and Africa with the help of the subject of "Tazara railway",and how the Chinese creators transmit the concept and culture to the continent of Africa with the documentary,and how to break through the shackles of cross-cultural communication through the image At present,the exchanges and interactions between China and Africa have achieved two-way understanding and understanding.The main body of the thesis consists of three parts.The first part focuses on analyzing the narrative perspective of Tazara railway documentary.As the image subject with humanistic significance,although the era characteristics and theme demands of Tazara railway railway subject recording image are different,these contents all rely on the "Narration" of the creator's book by audio-visual.With the change of viewing angle,there will be great differences in documentary performance.In this paper,from three perspectives of single,multiple and omniscient,the main characteristics of the documentary film about Tazara railway railway,which is endowed with different meanings and missions,are explored.The second part explores the narrative strategy of the documentary film about TAZARA railway,that is,"how to say" after establishing the narrative subject of TAZARA railway.Compared with the general engineering documentary,the creator's narration of Tazara railway is more inclined to the emotional value and humanistic care on this basis.As a great trunk line across East Africa and Central South Africa,the geographic space involved in the railway inevitably contains the imagination of Africa and the humanistic history and ecological landscape attached to the geography.The theme of Tazara railway has its unique artistic expression and appeal in creation and aesthetics.The third part focuses on the analysis of the theme and significance of Tanzanian railway documentary.Through the subjective reconstruction of the creators,in different time and space,many stories around the subject of Tanzanian railway have been given meaning,and this interpretation and extension of inorganic matter provides a profound impact on the imagination of the audience outside the screen.Thus,it enriches people's free imagination of African field at all levels.Through the various aspects of narrating in the documentary of Tazara railway theme,it can be found that the different value orientation and meaning appeal of the creators will make the perspective,strategy and theme of the Tazara railway constructed in the image have great differences,but the different narrating methods chosen by the creators in the audio-visual field are very suitable for the image and theme they want to appeal to in the image With their knowledge and understanding of Tazara railway,they have built an audio-visual pedigree with humanistic connotation and communication impact,and contributed an important force to the construction of African image system.
