Picture Tension

Euan uglow(1932-2000)is a British contemporary figurative painting master.His unique painting creation way,he always insisted that the unique visual language expressed by the image itself is enough to reflect the content of to express,but in fact his picture with a strong visual tension,in his work order due to severe measuring method,both the tension of classic elegance and modern,his works have profound rational connotation and use a special form of expression in figurative expressionism present a new perspective in the works,with their own unique style and distinctive characteristics,and for figurative painting has a very important role in exploring.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter discusses the origin of ugelow’s style from three aspects,mainly due to the environment at that time and the influence of three mentors and Cezanne’s artistic concept.The second chapter explores the composition of the tension in ugro’s painting,and analyzes the tension in the picture from the outside in.The third chapter analyzes the influence of ugro’s painting style on my creation,as well as the understanding and application of his artistic creation,so as to understand the meaning of art originated from life.
