The life goal is the level of expectation, which is the individual's expectation of their ambition, value and meaning in the future life. The middle school stage is a critical period for student development, and is an important period for individual self-conscious development.Establishing positive life goals at this stage will help middle school students form correct value judgments. And it is also very important to help middle school students to clarify their future development direction, formulate a reasonable life plan. However, few researches have discussed how to make middle school students form positive and internal Life goals to promote their physical and mental health development. Therefore, based on the ecological theory and self-determination theory, this study discusses the influence of teachers' and parental autonomy on the establishment of life goals for middle school students, and explores the mediating role of core self-evaluation in this influence. In this study,Learning Climate Questionnaire,Parental Support Scale,Core SelfEvaluation Scale and Aspiration Index Scale were used to investigate a total of 1036 students in four junior and senior high schools in Hefei. The relationship between teachers' and parental autonomy support and life goals of middle school students was investigated,as well as the mediating role of core self-evaluation.The results showed:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between teachers' autonomy support and the internal life goals of middle school students, but a significant negative correlation with the external life goals.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between parental autonomy support and the internal life goals of middle school students, but a significant negative correlation with the external life goals.(4)The Core self-evaluation plays a part of intermediary role between teachers' autonomy support and middle school students' life goals, and it also plays a part of intermediary role between parental autonomy support and middle school students' life goals. Therefore, core self-evaluation is an important potential intermediary mechanism for teachers' and parental autonomy support influencing middle school students' choice of life goals.Teachers and parents can increase their core self-evaluation by increasing their autonomy support for middle school students, thereby generating a positive cognitive schema, making them more inclined to introverted life goals such as personal growth and belonging,to enable middle school students to have a positive experience in academics, happiness, and mental health.etc.
