In recent years, the ecological environment is getting worse and worse, which has attracted the worldwide attention. At the same time, the rapid development of ecotourism has made great contributions to the improvement of environmental quality and biodiversity. It can effectively reduce the negative impact of human beings on the ecological environment, ensure the sustainable utilization of tourism resources and provide a new perspective for the construction of ecological civilization.Starting from the perspective of ecolinguistics, guided by deep ecology and based on Halliday's systemic functional grammar combined with the ecological analytical framework for discourse initially provided by He Wei and Zhang Ruijie, this thesis uses foreign scenic-spot introductions as research object and both quantitative and qualitative research methods are employed to analyze the discourse application of foreign scenic-spot introductions, aiming to uncover the ecological value and non ecological value and the ecological relationship between human and nature embodied by the experiential meaning system;reveal the ecological tendencies expressed by interpersonal meaning system;and explore how textual meaning system help to convey ecological values in the selected data. After analyzing the experiential meaning system, the interpersonal meaning system, and the textual meaning system of foreign scenic-spot introductions, some major findings are briefly presented as follows: for the experiential meaning system, transitivity system conveys the ecological values, that is “biocentric equality”,which can be realized by putting non-human beings or entities in the position of actor, senser, sayer, behaver.Obviously, the language strategy of personification is used in the selected data. What's more, concerning the relational processes and existential processes, the ecological value “Self-Realization” is embodied. All of them reflect the equal and harmonious ecological relationship.Meanwhile, for the extended verbs,non-human entities are regarded as the actor, while the verbs used in the material processes are dynamic words. Therefore,it embodies the ecological value, that is,“biocentric equality”.As for transformation, the use of nominalization and passive voice mainly convey the non-ecological value, that is“anthropocentrism”.Therefore, the ecological relationships between human beings and nature can be serving-served ”.For the interpersonal meaning system, theanalysis of the representative modal verbs in the modality mainly express the strong ecological tendencies of human beings to shoulder the responsibility for the protection of scenic-spots.According to the analysis of attitude resources,it mainly expresses how they convey the excellent ecological environment of these scenic-spots and the ecological tendencies of human beings to appreciate these scenic-spots.For the textual meaning system, concerning the unmarked theme,it not only serves to emphasize these non-human creatures or entities but also leaves a vivid and ecological image in visitors' mind by putting non-human creatures or entities in the position of subject or theme.Concerning the marked theme,it regards the specific content which the writer wants to emphasize as the initial part of the discourse and conveys the writers' potential intention or untold ideology. The current research of this thesis has the enlightening meaning to raise people's ecological awareness, cultivate their consciousness of critical thinking as well as promote the process of ecological civilization construction, and also provides reference meaning for writing foreign scenic-spot introductions.
