A Study Of "Female Discourse" In Yan'an Literature Before Yan'an Literature And Art Forum

Chinese women's discourse appeared with the emergence of modern women's liberation movement,which broke the rules and restrictions on women by the dominant male discourse in feudal culture.As a witness to breaking the feudal shackles and moving towards free liberation,the female discourse in literary works is vocal for women,strive for the independent status and free environment for women.The female discourse in Yan'an literature is unique,which takes the convening of Yan' an Literature and Art Symposium in May 1942 as a watershed.Before that time,the female discourse inherits the spirit of the "May 4th" enlightenment discourse,the Soviet literature and the left-wing literature,the expression is unconstrained because of the relaxed cultural environment.The content of the narrative is varied,showing a diverse focus on women's issues.Under the influence of the literary direction of "workers,peasants and soldiers" after the symposium,the female discourse has been desalinated and moved towards the hidden.This thesis is divided into four parts: the introduction part states the reason of the topic selection and the significance of the writing purpose,the research history and the present situation related to the topic selection,also defines the related concepts.The first chapter combs the germination and development of female discourse from the beginning of the late Qing Dynasty to the May 4th period and the left-wing period,especially the unique development environment of female discourse in Yan'an period.The second chapter starts with the text content of female discourse before the Yan'an Literature and Art Symposium in 1942,and narrates the expression of female discourse in the three different scenes of marriage and love family,social production and revolutionary war.The third chapter discusses the specific characteristics of female discourse in this stage of literature,that is,more diversified care for the fate of women(involving family,marriage,personal development and physical and mental aspects,etc.);both men and women,politicians and scholars jointly voice for women's liberation;but there is potential gender suppression in the discussion of women's issues.The discussion of women's issues in Yan' an literature before the Yan'an literature and art symposium is an important expression of women's discourse between the national and female individual gaps.Its reflection on the depth of women's issues and the extensive discussion are of great significance to both the emancipation of women and the development of literary women's discourse.
