In the context of economic globalization and rapid development of education information,at the beginning of the 21 st century,China launched a new round of basic education curriculum reform, advocating the combination of core literacy and subject teaching. For the majority of first-line English teachers, how to achieve the four-dimensional goal of core literacy training in English disciplines and improve the efficiency of English teaching is a realistic issue. The "five steps and three investigations" teaching model is of practical significance in the context of the new curriculum reform. It breaks through the restraint of traditional teaching, returns the classroom to students, encourages students to learn independently, cooperates, and coordinates the knowledge construction and core literacy development is of great benefit. At the same time,it has a positive impact on the construction of scientific research schools, the establishment of elite teacher teams, and the empowerment of students with lifelong learning capabilities.According to CNKI's retrieval of foreign language core journals and educational core journals,it is found that domestic and foreign scholars have relatively little research on the combination of teaching models and the cultivation of high school students' core literacy. There is almost no empirical research on optimizing the "five steps and three investigations" teaching model to cultivate high school students' core English literacy. This research is in-depth first-line teaching, taking 120 high school students as the research object, using the "Questionnaire for the Current Status of Core Competence in English Discipline" and "Interview Outline of Students Interviewing the Current Status of Core Competence in English Discipline" to investigate high school from four dimensions The current status of English classroom teaching combines core literacy training goals with teaching models, and adopts action research methods to conduct an exploratory study of the "five steps and three checks" teaching model for one semester to optimize high school English classroom teaching and cultivate high school students' core English literacy. After comparing the data analysis, the main findings of this study are: changing therole of students, establishing their learning subject status, cultivating students' self-learning ability and enhancing self-confidence,improving students' comprehensive language use ability and learning strategies;optimizing the teaching process to promote teachers' reflection and adjustment Research methods and content to ensure that research is true and practical;the strengthening of practical training is helpful for teachers to consolidate the theoretical basis and continue to grow in teaching and research.Due to subjective and objective conditions, there are still two deficiencies in this study:(1)Due to limited time, the students 'comprehensive language ability and learning strategies are not sufficiently developed, and there is no research on the cultivation of students' cultural awareness and thinking quality.(2)Insufficient theoretical and empirical research on the "five steps and three investigations" teaching model, which belongs to the preliminary stage of research. The scope of the test subject is too small to fully present the actual situation of the entire high school stage. This study is just a preliminary exploratory study. In the future,I hope more educators will pay attention to and participate in the empirical study of optimizing the English classroom teaching model in high school education to cultivate the core literacy of high school students, and cultivate more excellent compound talents for the country.
