Nonverbal behavior plays an important role not only in people's daily lives and communication,but also in Chinese as a foreign language.With the development of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,more and more scholars begin to pay attention to and explore the nonverbal behaviors used by Chinese as a foreign language teachers.The breadth and depth of research is also deepening.This paper mainly uses the method of questionnaire survey and classroom observation to make a deep and systematic investigation and analysis on the use of teachers' nonverbal behavior in the primary stage of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,taking the nonverbal behavior used by teachers in primary Teaching Chinese as a Second Language classroom as the research object,this paper discusses their understanding of teachers' nonverbal behavior in classroom from two aspects of teachers and students.Through the investigation,we find that both teachers and students have a positive attitude towards teachers' nonverbal behaviors in the classroom,but there are some differences in their concerns.At the same time,teachers also have some problems in the use of nonverbal behavior in class,such as lack of standardization and control ability,the causes of these problems may be due to cultural differences between teachers and students,teachers' lack of attention to nonverbal behaviors in class,and teachers' lack of training,etc.,therefore,this paper puts forward some suggestions,such as perfecting the evaluation criteria of teachers' nonverbal behavior,training teachers systematically,and promoting the quantitative research of teachers' nonverbal behavior.It is hoped that this paper can provide some reference for the study of nonverbal behavior of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language teachers in the classroom,and at the same time,expand the train of thought for establishing and perfecting the standardized and systematic training system of nonverbal behavior of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language teachers in the classroom,to help push things along.
