An Analysis Of The Composing Skills Of Yuankai Bao's "Chinese Sights And Sounds·Theme Piano Music Of 24 Chinese Folk Songs"

Mr.Yuankai Bao is a famous contemporary composer and music educator in China.Over the past several decades,he has created a lot of excellent music works which have aroused a warm response in the music world at home and abroad.Among them,the first piece of symphonic series "Chinese Wind"-" Chinese sights and sounds theme orchestral music of 24 Chinese folk songs " is the classic with a combination of Chinese and Western,and elegant and common appreciation.This work is not only a Chinese Symphony which has the highest frequency of performance in recent years,but also included in music appreciation teaching materials of the middle school by Ministry of Education.At the end of 2007,the adaptation of the piano version of this work was completed." Chinese sights and sounds ·Theme Piano Music of 24 Chinese Folk Songs(here in after referred to as " Chinese sights and sounds ")not only broadens the way of propagation of the original work,but also improves the competitiveness of Chinese piano works in music world all over the world." Chinese sights and sounds " includes theme piano music of 24 Chinese folk songs,and many of the composing techniques involved in this is not Mr.Bao's initiative creation.Focusing on the ethnic culture and temperament,Mr.Bao insisted on the original intention of creation with elegant and common appreciation,took the music content and emotion as basis,,avoided the same and the development of diversity as the pursuit of the goal,and skillfully connected many of the techniques that are carefully screened.The use of these techniques not only preserves the original taste of folk songs,enriches the sound color of folk songs,but also makes the theme of folk songs form a prominent musical contrast in repeated reproduction.This article first briefly describes Mr.Bao's life experience,general situation of music creation and creation background of " Chinese sights and sounds ",and then comprehensively combs theory parameters of composing techniques of"Chinese sights and sounds".Through the comprehensive and meticulous study of "Chinese sights and sounds ",this paper sums up the characteristics of the structure of its musical form and explains the reason why the whole work is based on the variation form,and in the aspect of tonality.The main types and characteristics of the tonality layout and the main methods of the development of the tonality in the works are summarized.In the aspect of harmony,Emphasis is placed on the analysis of chord structure,the use of alternating chords in major and minor tones,the extraction of characteristic sounds from melodic modes,the application of alternating tone variationsand the design of terminations,etc.The author analyzes how to change and expand the nationalized tone in the polyphony structure from three aspects of polyphony,imitating polyphony and contrastive polyphony,so as to reveal the musical image from different angles.
