English writing ability is an important factor to measure students’ English level.However,there are some common problems in traditional English Writing Teaching: 1)teachers are tired of correcting compositions,so they can only make one-time final evaluation on students’ compositions;2)because students can not get timely and effective feedback,writing training is insufficient,and writing learning motivation is insufficient.With the application of computers in the field of senior high school English writing teaching,online automated evaluation system has emerged.Moreover,the automated evaluation and feedback of students’ compositions by the automated scoring system has become the direction and trend of feedback research development at this stage.Although there have been a lot of researches on English composition feedback in senior high school,there are few researches on computer system feedback in China.Therefore,this paper carries out the relevant research on the influence of automated scoring system on senior high school English writing,so as to provide experience and inspiration for the feedback methods in senior high school English writing teaching.This study focuses on three issues:(1)What is the effect of feedback from teachers and the feedback from the Juku correcting network on senior high school students’ English writing performance?(2)What are the differences between the two ways of feedback on vocabulary,grammar and discourse in senior high school students’ English writing?(3)How do the two ways of feedback affect students’ learning motivation?The main research methods of this paper include: score analysis,questionnaire survey and experimental data collection.The object of study is two classes in grade oneof Taiyuan No.2 experimental secondary school.In order to ensure the rationality of the experiment,the initial scores of the experimental classes are approximately the same.The experimental class adopts online assessment system composition teaching,while the control class adopts traditional composition teaching mode.The experiment lasted for three months.After the experiment,a questionnaire survey was conducted again.To understand the students’ experience and attitude towards the feedback function of the rating network,and then to conduct a post-test on the two classes,and collect data,so as to compare the experimental results.After the experiment,the experimental class was surveyed by questionnaire again.To understand the students’ experience and attitude towards the feedback function of the correction network,and then carry out post-test on the two classes,and collect data,so as to compare the experimental results.The results show that:(1)The feedback of composition evaluation provided by "Juku correcting network" has little influence on the structure and content of students’ composition,but it helps and improves students’ language knowledge such as vocabulary and grammar;(2)There is a lack of English knowledge among students,among which Chinglish and paragraph cohesion are still the difficulties in students’ English writing.(3)Compared with the traditional English composition teaching feedback,the online automated assessment system can improve students’ writing interest and motivation.(4)Online automated evaluation system can’t completely replace teacher feedback,and the role of teachers can’t be ignored;Based on the above conclusions and the relevant theoretical basis,the paper finally puts forward some suggestions on how to promote the development of students’ writing ability through effective feedback in senior high school English writing teaching.
