| With the rapid development of information technology,computers are more and more used in high school English teaching.With the help of corpus and cloud computing technology,the automated scoring systems can be employed for automatic grading and feedback of English writing.The automated feedback features convenience and rapidity,which will also become the future trend of English writing feedback in senior high school.Juku Automated Scoring System(http://www.pigai.org),an effective automatic feedback system,has been popular with senior high school teachers and students.Therefore,this paper will explore the English writing feedback model of traditional teachers’ feedback assisted by Juku Automated Scoring System in senior high school.The paper aims to answer the following three questions:(1)Can Juku Automated Scoring System effectively improve high school students’ English writing proficiency?(2)Can the automated scoring system arouse high school students’ writing motivation?(3)Do students prefer the feedback from teachers or the combination of teachers’ feedback and the automated scoring system? Two Senior Two classes are selected as the experimental objects.By means of pre-experiment and post-experiment tests,pre-experiment and post-experiment questionnaires and interviews,the paper analyzes the influence of traditional teachers’ feedback combined with automated scoring system and teachers’ feedback on students’ writing learning.It is found that the automated scoring system can effectively improve students’ English writing proficiency,enhance their writing motivation and motivate them to revise theirwriting repeatedly.The system can also improve students’ mastery of grammar and spelling,but the feedback of text structure and content is far from enough,so teachers’ feedback also matters.Most students prefer the combination of teachers’ feedback and the automated scoring system,expecting to get timely and effective writing feedback.Therefore,this research suggests that when combining both feedback models,teachers can count on the automated scoring system to offer the students the feedback of vocabulary,sentence structure and grammar so that they can focus more on giving students the feedback of structure,content and relevance,thus realizing complementary advantages and improving the efficiency of English writing feedback teaching. |
