This article focuses on the writing and evaluation of various works of Chinese literature history from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China on the work of the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai,which has been compiled from Lin Chuanjia's the History of Chinese Literature(published in 1910)to the History of Ancient Chinese Literature,written by Yuan Shishuo in 2016,covers more than a hundred texts of the general history of Chinese literature,chronological history(ancient,modern and contemporary),and the history of divided literature(history of fiction)in the past century.After summarizing the historical text,writer found that their interpretations of the thematic content and ideological connotation of the text of the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai were roughly divided into six categories: exposing critical theory,beautifying distortion theory,admonishing warning theory,objective reflection theory,compassion sympathy theory,and transgression theory.From the perspective of the meta-discourse theory,these views must first assume that their formulations are correct,original,and self-evident in order to ensure the legitimacy of the interpretation.The writing of literary history is not a pure writing process,but is a force field which fulling of discourse games,in order to keep pace with the preset meta-discourse or to subvert the old meta-discourse paradigm,it uses a highly technical deductive construction skills in the writing process.These formulations comprehensively use the narrative weaving skills of poetic nature,under the combined action of word formation,various contextualized discourses,and meta-discourse presuppositions,have finally formed the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai with various appearances: The poetic narrative structure triggers the rhetoric of literary history,exposing critical criticism derives from the combination of the original sin meta-discourse,sharp metaphors,and exposing exposed verbs;historical poetics brings ideological connotative interpretations,beautifying distorted theories forming in classes Meta-discourse and reactionary countercurrents;metabolized meta-discourses,admonish words,and teaching perspectives help admonishment warnings theory;objective reflection theory shaped by the metaphors of truth-seeking meta-discourse and bright mirrors,and reflection of these neutral verbs;to reshape the history of literature,compassion sympathy theory has humanistic meta-discourse and soft words;transgression theory is based on the coordination of desire meta-discourse and desire rhetoric(phasic metaphors such as quicksand,declining and degenerate verbs that point to imbalance and deviation)leading to the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai has been transformed into a modern urban novel centered on desire.Meta-discourse presupposition determines the visual threshold and narrative rhetoric adopted by each statement.Meta-discourse constrains and determines the poetic narrative.The poetic narrative characterizes and visualized the meta-discourse behind it,giving meta-discourse,a physical form of language and imagery rather than a conceptual idea.This is an extension and carrier of meta-discourse in the field of historical narrative.In terms of evaluation and positioning of works,as a construct in the history of literature,the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai is placed in the extreme situation of the peak or low valley with fire or ice,in which mean a multi-level classic wrestling progress including pros and cons,academic circles and folk,celebrities and the public.Together with the three celebrity spotlights of Lu Xun's discourse influence,Hu Shi's vernacular direction and Zhang Ailing's classic chain,literary history praises its new disenchantment positioning,peak narrative and mythological rhetoric,the status of the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai has been promoted,and finally moved to the supreme altar.And when this book lost the shelter of the peak narrative and celebrity discourse,we will find some negative evaluations.The Sing-song Girls of Shanghai,which is the peak of literary history,completely changed its appearance in the contrarian context,and even fell to the bottom of literary history,a very embarrassed status,its negative and dark,trivial,and poor sales are pointed out.It is often overlooked and ignored by some literary history.This book's peak status in the history of modern popular literature is no longer pure and objective,there is a certain degree of exaggeration and construction.Finally,this article draws from these constructive writings in the Sing-song Girls of Shanghai by the history of “Chinese literature”,thinking about the three shortcomings of the legitimacy of constructivism itself,the distance from the real,and the infinite desire.
