A Research On Local Writing In Lixiahe Writers’ Novels

A rural society is the most vivid background of Chinese society and local writing is a broad road of realist literature,which is an important window where people can enjoy the scenery of Chinese rural society.In recent years,the novels of Lixiahe writers,expressing the local customs,revealing the “Contemporary” of rural society and questioning for the future of rural civilization,have attracted tremendous attention of contemporary literary arena.These works,with a unique regional culture,a clear narrative style and a gentle aesthetic style,have become a unique landscape of contemporary Chinese narrative and an important puzzle in contemporary Chinese literature.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The introduction part defines the concepts of Lixiahe area,Lixiahe culture and Lixiahe writers’ group.It discusses the process of Lixiahe writers’ group,sorts out the research status of “Lixiahe” and clarifies the significance of the topic research.The first chapter sorts out the four main themes embodied in the local writing of Lixiahe writers’ works,including the poetic writing of agricultural life in the rural society of Lixiahe,the display of the local folk culture in the area of Lixiahe,the anxiety of the rural people under the context of urbanization and the portrayal of humanity in the poor life.The second chapter focuses on the people of Lixiahe with further understanding of the Lixiahe rural world,from the typical images of dream-seeking youths,ordinary rural women,ordinary farmers and rural rulers.The third chapter analyzes the construction mode of Lixiahe rural world from three aspects: a narrative strategy,a rhetoric strategy,and a language strategy.The fourth chapter discusses the motivations of Lixiahe writers’ writing from three aspects: the motivation of authors,the local ideological and cultural influence of the Tai Zhou School and the transformation of the rural social structure in the context of urbanization.The conclusion part evaluates the value of local writing in Lixiahe writers ’novels in literary and cultural significance.All in all,local writing in Lixiahe writers ’novels makes "Lixiahe" a landmark on the map of Chinese local narrative and expands the vast space for the contemporary local writing.And it is not only a poetic expression of the regional culture of Lixiahe,but also a spiritual tour of the local culture.
