This report is based on the translation practice of the UNESCO conference document Issues and Trends in Education for Sustainable Development(excerpts).The source text outlines the issues and trends in Education for Sustainable Development and highlights problems related to its policies and practices,including key capabilities,main content,policies,changes in the learning environment,teacher training,youth leaders,and expanding the scale of operations and monitoring progress.Based on the translation of the fourth and fifth chapters of the source text,this report reviews the process of this translation practice,and uses the translation theory on the basis of the characteristics of the original text and the difficulties in translation.With the functional equivalence theory,the report analyzes the specific problems and the translation strategies from the perspectives of vocabulary,syntax,and text.It consists of four parts,including the description of the translation task,the description of the translation process,the case analysis and the summary.
