On The Construction Of The Reality Of The Participation Mode Documentary

In the 1950 s and 1960 s,with the development of film and television technology,the convenience of recording equipment made live shooting and simultaneous recording possible.Two documentary genres with different concepts were produced in the United States and France-direct film and For real movies,one of them adopts observational shooting-"fly on the wall",and the other takes participatory shooting,advocating active intervention.The participation model documentary emphasizes the active disclosure of the existence of the camera and the producer,making this type of documentary prone to the shortcomings of aggressiveness,excessive dependence on evidence,and excessive participation and intervention.On the basis of following the authenticity,how to give the audience a better real feeling has become the key to the creation of this type of documentary.Through the study of the relevant documents of the participation model documentary,the author has a linear understanding of the "participation" and "intervention" behavior from the historical development,and summarizes the definition of the participation model documentary.After analyzing and sorting out the theoretical research results of experts and scholars in related fields,and after observing a large number of works with the characteristics of typical participation model documentaries,the creative features of the model documentaries and the specific means of constructing realism were discussed and summarized.Finally,I thought about how to grasp the participation in the creation of this model documentary,how to realize "image recording" to "influence recording",and actively explored the innovative development of this model documentary.At the same time,it also provides reference and basis for the practical creation of the author's graduation work "Bend Bay".Through this theoretical study and creation practice,the author has deeper thoughts on the construction of the realism in the participation mode documentary,and hopes to provide more reference andinspiration for the participation mode documentary.
