Research On The Creative Methods Of Participatory Documentary

The documentary "Song" is my graduate work.The main line of this film is Xiao Song's meeting his second child's birth.It tells the changes of Xiao Song's life and the challenges it faces through the shooting method of participatory documentary.Authenticity is the core of documentary.The author believes that the "reality" presented by documentary is actually the "truth of witness".Then the reality of participatory documentary is the "truth of interaction".It emphasizes the effective interaction between the photographer and the Photographers.Through this interaction,the development and presentation of the shooting subject and the shooting event are stimulated,so that the audience can feel the production The existence of the person in the film.The producer of the film,as a participant or investigator,or even the filmed,takes the initiative to intervene in the occurrence of the event.The purpose and significance of this study is to further explore the creative ideas and creative strategies of participatory documentary,as well as the application skills of audio-visual language in this type of documentary by combing and summarizing.Combined with the author's reflection in the process of time creation,it can provide some reference for the practice creation of participatory documentary.In this paper,participatory documentary "Song" as the research text,mainly from three aspects of participatory documentary production techniques.First of all,through the analysis of the technical way of establishing the character relationship of participatory documentary,how to construct the dual relationship between the work and the creator and the audience through "explicit interview" and "implicit interview".Secondly,it discusses the strategy of choosing the viewpoint in the production of participatory documentary,how to determine the shooting viewpoint in the early stage of production,so that the type of documentary involves the creator,processes the shooting materials,and finally affects the development of the event to achieve the goal assumed by the creator.Then,from the three aspects of lightcomposition,sound composition and editing skills,this paper discusses the important role of audio-visual language in the characterization and theme expression of participatory documentary.Through the research methods of fieldwork,literature research,case study,experience summary,case induction and empirical research,and comparative research,combined with the participatory documentary "Song",this paper puts forward the reflection on the control of participation and the lack of control and production technology in the production process of this type of documentary.and puts forward the important role of preliminary investigation and narrative perspective training in the production of participatory documentary.
