A Study Based On The Phenomenon Of Yuanya's "Cursive Meaning"

This article researches the phenomenon of Chinese seal art in particular.In the Yuan Dynasty,the influx of ethnic minorities led to the establishment of a ruling regime.Under such a situation,Yuanya(??)came into being.This is an indelible episode in the history of the entire Chinese seal history,but the seal with the meaning of"cursive script"(????)has not yet attracted much attention and thorough research.Therefore,this article aims to study the phenomenon of"cursive script"in seal in the Yuan Dynasty and how the later generations learned from those seals(including the extended application of cultural folk implement to"cursive meaning").Based on the literature review,the author will explore the subject in the consideration of macro-history and micro-specific.It is expected to bring an inspiration to the author in the respect of seal and calligraphy creation.The first part of the paper mainly focuses on three aspects of the "cursive script" in seal in the Yuan Dynasty: the origin,classification and artistic characteristics.In the analysis of above aspects,the author specifically compares it with other artistic forms such as other seals and calligraphy in the same period.The second part explores the expansion and application of the phenomenon of "cursive script" in seal in the Yuan Dynasty,involving artistic creation of modern and contemporary masters,and innovative application of folk art.Finally,it summarizes the way how "cursive script" in the Yuan Dynasty help to develop the author's own artistic creation.
