| Xu Wei was a representative of the style of vertical axis calligraphy in the late Ming Dynasty,which had a direct impact on the evolution and development of vertical axis calligraphy in later generations.Firstly,this paper briefly discusses Xu Wei’s life experience,the artistic proposition of "true self" and the inheritance of calligraphy teachers,so as to understand the beginning and end of the formation of Xu Wei’s vertical axis calligraphy style.Secondly,based on the "Yingzhi Yongjian axis" itself,starting from the phenomenon and combined with the theory,the author analyzes Xu Wei’s technical language,which involves five aspects:pen use,word binding,composition,ink use,emotion and method,with the intention of comprehensively and deeply understanding the performance and formal characteristics of Xu Wei’s vertical axis calligraphy,in order to provide a reference for the current vertical axis calligraphy style creation.In the specific creation,the author briefly discusses the selection of tools and materials and the way of writing,so as to make preliminary preparations for the creative practice,and then take Xu Wei’s vertical axis calligraphy as the keynote,and integrate other methods to make various forms of creative attempts. |
