Broken style refers not only to the traditional Chinese characters, but also to the variation of the calligraphy structure, and also to a way of creation.Broken style calligraphy is an ancient form of calligraphy.Whether it is the broken style that appears in the evolution of characters or the calligrapher who consciously breaks the boundaries of writing style to create calligraphy,it is a breakthrough of the original character and writing style. In other words,it cannot be summarized by the inherent character and writing style.Throughout the development history of calligraphy, from the perspective of the form of calligraphy,Ba Fen Shu,Li Bian, the bamboo slips can not be simply included in the five body of calligraphy. After the completion of the five forms of the calligraphy, calligraphers began to create the broken body of calligraphy. The earliest calligrapher was Wang Xianzhi in the Jin dynasty, and later calligraphers such as Huaisu,Yan Zhenqing,Mi Fu,Wang Duo,Zheng Banqiao and Wu Changshuo created broken body of calligraphy. The history of calligraphy has evolved for thousands of years, and five-body calligraphy has almost become a fixed pattern. However,if you think about it carefully,it is a little rigid. When calligraphy plays a more artistic role today, how to draw nourishment from the treasure house of ancient calligraphy art and make new creations has become an urgent and important issue.Of course, generations of calligraphers who wanted to write their own style never stopped exploring, but the opportunity of history seems to offer more possibilities to today's calligraphers. From Zheng Banqiao's six and a half chirography of calligraphy to Wu Changshuo fuses inscriptions on drum-shaped stone blocks of the Warring States Period for calligraphy creation,it has put forward beneficial inspirations for later generations to make artistic creation with broken body writing. Therefore,it has become one of the paths of calligraphy creation to consciously use the concept of broken body writing for artistic creation.Zheng Banqiao is a typical example of truly using broken style calligraphy to create. His style is known as"Banqiao style"by the world. From the late Qing dynasty to the modern period, the study of broken style calligraphy has entered a new stage, which is related to the discovery of a large number of epitaphs in Han and Wei dynasties in the Qing dynasty. What's more,it is no doubt that the stage of bamboo slips and silk book discovered in 20thcentury provide a chance for contemporary broken body of calligraphy. The change of official script is a process changing seal character to official one. With the influence of history and culture,Qin character is a dispensable part of it.Bamboo slips and silk book of Qin dynasty discovered in 20thcentury such as Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips,Qingchuan inscribed wooden tablet,Bamboo Slips of the Qin dynasty from Fangmatan,Tianshui,Bamboo Slips of the Qin dynasty from Liye show the development of change of official script from the Warring States Period to Qin dynasty.During this period, the structure of Chinese character and the way of writing have the features of seal script and official script. The author analyzed its formation and development process and compared the characters before and after broken body of calligraphy. It was found that the cause of the broken body of calligraphy was mainly affected by historical and cultural factors, tool materials, and the difference in status of the writer. The continuous growth of the economic and military forces in the Qin dynasty led to the increasingly frequent use of characters, which resulted in simplified characters. Moreover, writing tools began to be dominated by brushes and the flexible brushes broke the traditional way of writing, then wave of lines appeared. Finally, the majority of local officials and writers at the lower levels are not constrained by the rulers at the upper levels and they promote and use it gradually.Take the change of official script of Qin dynasty as an example and summarize the aesthetic orientation of broken calligraphy according to its artistic characteristics of unsophisticated, randomness, and lyricism. Then it can be concluded that the broken calligraphy is a break from the conventional form and traditional aesthetic concepts and the work conveys the calligraphers'free pursuit of the soul.Based on the study of the change of the early Qin dynasty, the author uses the concept of broken calligraphy to my practice. On the basis of Wu Changshuo's art,we learn the concept of his broken calligraphy. On the word method, the works show the characters of both Official script and the seal character,it combines the Wu Changshuo seal script with the early official scrip. On the brushwork, absorbing the strong and heavy brushwork of seal script, and join in by official script wave.At the same time,Wu Changshuo seal script is strong and powerful,Pick up his pen faster. The author combined with this way of writing,in the end to a seal character ever full fruity, full strength thick pen, turn head thick tail fine strokes.Make the work as a whole vigorous and thick and elegant full;In the chapter method,Incorporate the neat and uniform characteristics of early clerical script, and learn the staggered structure of Wu Changshuo's seal script. The density relationship between the different font structures of the seal script and official script also made the whole chapter method have a very dynamic feature in the neat and uniform writing. In addition,Wu Changshuo's calligraphy and painting are integrated with each other. In his freehand flower-and-bird paintings, the branches, stems, leaves and stones are mostly painted with calligraphy pens. The layout of his paintings is also integrated with the characteristics of calligraphy. This innovative way of thinking, which is not limited to the breaking of the body of the typeface, has a new enlightenment to the author's integrated creation of painting and calligraphy.
