| Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8)is a work of the Warring States Period that was collected by Tsinghua University in 2008.It was written in the middle and late Warring States period,and its font mainly belongs to the early official script,an ancient style of calligraphy current in the Han Dynasty.The article takes Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8)as the research object and studies its font style.The article describes in detail the nine basic strokes of the 3757 forms of Chinese character in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8),including horizontal stroke,vertical stroke,left-falling stroke,right-falling stroke,dot stroke,turning stroke,hook stroke,arcs,and seals,and summarizes conjunctive feature of the Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8).It tells us the conjunctive feature of the characters are symmetrical equilibrium,tight inside and comfortable outside,center of gravity stable,difference of lightness and weight,diverse styles,symmetrical echoes,comfortable inside and tight outside etc,and it summarized from the perspectives of the shape of the strokes,the structure of the characters,and the layout the characteristics of the font style of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8),further analyze and explores the reasons for the formation of the font style,namely the needs of social development,the constraints of writing materials and writing tools,the influence of the writer,the needs for convenience and practical writing,and the change of Chinese characters structure.On this basis,it discusses the evolution law of the form of Chinese characters combined with oracle bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions.From the perspective of strokes,the changes of oracle-bone inscriptions and inscriptions on ancient bronze objects in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8)are mainly manifested from four aspects :stroke reduction,multiplication,alienation,aggregation and dispersion;from the structural perspective,the changes are the reduction of structure,the increase of multiplication,the alienation,the assimilation and the components from pictograph to linearization.Finally,the article compares the characters of Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips and Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8)in terms of font styles,and finds that their similarities are mainly manifested in the straightening of the strokes,the existence of inverted writing,and the flattening of the fonts.The differences are mainly manifested from three aspects:the shape of the strokes,the structure of the characters,and the layout.In terms of the shape of the strokes,the characters of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8)are generally straight in vertical stroke,with a sharp tip,and the strokes are sharp,thin and long.The characters in Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips often pursue pen skills,and the stroke speed is slow,The strokes are firm,thick,and short,and the bozhe strokes of the characters in the Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips are more mature than those of the texts in the Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8);in terms of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8),the characters in Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips are square,dignified and indulgent,and the characters in Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips are better than those in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8),the text is more standardized;in terms of the layout,the kerning of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Vol.8)is generally looser than Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips. |
