The Oroqen ethnic group is one of the least populated ethnic minorities in the northeast of China. It lives in the forest area of??the Greater Xing'an Mountains all year round. As a result of the development of hunting culture, regional culture and historical culture,it has created a rich spiritual and material culture. However, these Oroqen cultures with distinctive national and regional characteristics have gradually disappeared from people's perspective. On the one hand, because the Oroqen people have only a national language and no special status of the ethnic characters, many Oroqen history and culture have been in the mouth of the Oroqen people in the past Word of mouth gradually disappeared;on the other hand, with the rapid development and population movement of our country, the Oroqen culture was gradually assimilated and the ethnic characteristics gradually faded. In the context of globalization of the world, the assimilation phenomenon also appears in the field of modern design, lacking national or regional characteristics in design elements, how to properly use national characteristic elements, and inherit and promote ethnic culture as the social responsibility of today's designers. The"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival"[1],as the most traditional festival of the Oroqen people, has been on the verge of disappearance for many reasons, and it is necessary to protect the only remaining traditional festival. This article takes the visual communication design as the research background, and takes the Oroqen pattern as the research object, and analyzes how to apply the Oroqen pattern to the visual image design of the"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival"in combination with its own graduation design,in order to protect the Oroqen culture. And inheritance create a new way and possibility. This paper explores a more appropriate combination of Oroqen ethnic patterns and contemporary design through a combination of theoretical research and practical application. This article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly explains the research background, content and significance of the topic. The current research status of the Oroqen ethnic patterns in visual communication design through literature analysis and field survey methods and the national and interethnic patterns of ethnic patterns. The status quo of modernization transformation is sorted out,and the feasibility analysis of the combination of Oroqen ethnic patterns and visual communication design is analyzed. The second chapter mainly deals with the inner formation and development of Oroqen ethnic patterns and the external modeling features, composition features, form aesthetics, and color concepts Analysis,as a basis for studying the visual image design practice of the"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival";Chapter Three is an empirical analysis of the excellent cases of ethnic patterns used in modern design to obtain inspiration and creative methods; The fourth chapter summarizes the application principles and design strategies of design practice, introduces the principles of composition, and refines cultural symbols by breaking up reconstruction, color extraction, and deduction of connotation,in order to study the visual image of the"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival"Design practices provide better guidance. The fifth chapter is the project practice of applying the Oroqen motifs to the visual image design of the"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival".By analyzing the relevant background of the"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival",combining the above-mentioned inductive design principles and strategies, using modern Design approach, exploring new directions for design elements.Through the analysis and excavation of the ethnic patterns, the Oroqen ethnic patterns were applied to the visual image design of the"Gulun Muta Bonfire Festival",in order to create a new way of inheritance, protect cultural classics, enhance national impressions, and continue ethnic spirit To provide theoretical method support for the research and development of ethnic patterns and to provide a reference for later researchers on new ways of inheriting ethnic culture.
