A Study On The People's Livelihood Thought Of Chen Liang

Chen Liang was a famous patriotic thinker in the Southern Song Dynasty and a representative figure of the “Yongkang School” in eastern Zhejiang.In the face of domestic charcoal,he was determined to be a ambition to enrich the people and strengthen the country.Based on the theory of meritorious service,he put forward a series of reform proposals on people's livelihood from the perspective of governing the people.Chen liang's concept of people's livelihood came from his life experience and academic cultivation.His long-term displaced social life enabled him to understand the hope of the people in the southern song dynasty.And his philosophy of scholarship made him not satisfied with the way of adhering to Confucianism.The reform concept of "the government is out of the people for the people" had became the fundamental starting point of Chen Liang's people-oriented people's livelihood and its content was rich,more creative and effective.His thoughts were extremely prominent in the history of Chinese people's thoughts.In the concept of agriculture,he advocated attaching importance to agriculture and optimizing the development of farmers and agriculture.And he paid attention to the management of agriculture.In the business concept,he strongly advocated the agriculture-business relationship from the reality,and he affirmed the legitimacy of business for the benefit of the people.On the concept of fiscal and taxation,he advocated reducing taxes and hiding wealth in the people.He stressed that it was necessary to face up to the inherent relationship between the law of financial management and tax collection.These were the concentrated embodiment of Chen liang's "people-oriented" thoughts on people's livelihood.Its governance policy was more biased towards the merits,and formed a value choice based on social utilitarianism.This was also a distinctive feature of Chen liang's thoughts on people's livelihood.His ultimate goal was to "stabilize the country" and restore the reunification of the central plains.Admittedly,influenced by the limitations of The Times and classes,some of Chen liang's propositions were inappropriate.But his thoughts were worth learning from in terms of possession and wealth,legal system construction,and protection of the people.This not only fits the socialist "people-oriented" concept in the new era,but also has certain enlightenment significance for the current development of the people's livelihood economy.
