Modern Literature and Art Monthly was founded by Improvement Publishing House in Yongan city,Fujian province.The journal was founded on April 25,1940 and lasted until December 25,1942.As one of the most influential literary journals in southeast China during the war,Modern Literature and Art Monthly was founded in Anti-Japanese historical context and wartime literature ecology in Fujian province.Through the analysis of the generation,structure and characteristics of Modern Literature and Art Monthly.paper reveals the role of literature and art periodicals in the Anti-Japanese War period.Through the micro-level case study,this paper tries to present the potential value of local literature and art journals in the history of Anti-Japanese War literature.
