People have a tendency to pay attention to negative stimulus information in the process of processing information. The attention bias has an important impact on the survival status and psychological development of individuals,so the research on the internal mechanism of this attention bias has certain theoretical and practical significance. There are many related studies on negative stimulus attention bias. But most of them studied attention bias of adults in the state of emotional arousal. The attention bias of non-emotional arousal state is seldom discussed, especially the negative stimulation attention bias of middle school students. And middle school students are in the critical period of psychological development, negative stimulation attention bias will have a greater impact on their psychological development,it is necessary to explore the causes of attention bias in middle school students.Based on a comprehensive analysis of the previous literature, this study found that attention bias will be affected by a variety of factors, and selected three factors:extroversion/introversion,cognitive reappraisal and coping style,to explore the possible impact and influence process of middle school students, negative stimulation attention bias, and put forward the hypothesis: that is,the extroversion/introversion will affect attention bias through cognitive reappraisal and coping style.228 first grade students from two middle schools in NT were selected as the survey objects and their extroversion/introversion,cognitive reappraisal and coping style were investigated by the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire,Gross Emotion Regulation Scale and Shaw's Coping Style Scale.E-Prime programs were used to collect attention-biased data.SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used to gather statistical analysis.Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, correlation analysis and structural equation models were used to analyze the data. The results are following:(1)More than half of the middle-school students surveyed belong to middle-type personality, nearly 40% of middle-school students belong to introversion personality and only 20% of middle-school students have extroversion personality.(2)Boys scored significantly higher than girls in the problem-solving dimension of coping style scale, but there was no significant difference between boys and girls in other dimensions.(3)The extroversion/introversion and cognitive reappraisal, coping style and attention bias were significantly correlated. The extroversion/introversion was significantly positively related with cognitive reappraisal,rationalization,problem-solving and help-seeking dimensions in the Coping Style Scale and was negatively related with self-blame,fantasy,avoidance dimensions in the Coping Style Scale and attention bias.(4)Cognitive reappraisal plays a partial mediating role between extroversion/introversion and attention bias;Coping style plays a completely mediating role between extroversion/introversion and attention bias;the chain mediating effect of cognitive reappraisal and coping style was significant between extroversion/introversion and attention bias. The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)There was negative stimulation attention bias in the middle school students.(2)The more extroverted individuals are better at adopting cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation strategies, the more they tend to adopt positive coping styles, and the less likely they are to produce negative stimulus attention bias.(3)Extroversion/introversion will affect individual's attention bias through cognitive reappraisal and coping style respectively, and extroversion/introversion will also affect coping style through cognitive reappraisal, thus affecting attention bias.(4)Gender is not the main factor affecting extroversion/introversion,cognitive reappraisal, coping style and attention bias.
