Love preference means that individuals are more likely to choose romantic partners with certain conditions or characteristics when they are in love.With reference to domestic and foreign studies on love and love preference,it is easy to see that love is an important part of an individual’s life course and an important life topic in college,and that individual love preference is one of the important factors influencing love behavior and personal happiness.Prepare college students love preference questionnaire,understand love preference characteristics of contemporary college students,and connecting with the individual case analysis the influence factors of college students’ love preference,for individuals,families,schools and the benign demonstration of love,to a certain extent,reduce the negative emotions of love,let love to study,work and life the icing on the cake,let college students are more likely to achieve their life values.The study has two parts.The first part is to compile the love preference questionnaire for college students.A large number of previous studies were integrated and classified,and a questionnaire on college students’ love preference was constructed based on public surveys,interviews and expert opinions.The collected data were statistically analyzed and modified into a measurement tool with good reliability and validity.The self-compiled love preference questionnaire for college students,the TIPI-C by Li Jinde,the self-esteem questionnaire compiled byLiu Ying,the young students confidence questionnaire compiled by Bi Zhongzeng,the adult attachment scale revised by Wu Weili and the FBI by Yang Hongjun were adopted,according to the data analysis,the characteristics and influencing factors of college students’ love preference were obtained.The data processing of this study used Spss software and Mplus software,and related analysis,T test and confirmatory factor analysis.Research result:1、The college students’ love preference scale includes three dimensions: social factors,physical factors and personality factors.The internal consistency reliability of the total score and each dimension was 0.933,0.847,0.866 and 0.922,respectively.The total score and retest reliability of each dimension were 0.942,0.863,0.884 and 0.923,respectively.Using MPLUS for confirmatory factor analysis,RMSEA=0.069,TLI=0.833,CFI=0.845,SRMR=0.063.The questionnaire was well structured and met psychometric standards.2、College students pay more attention to personality factors when making love choices(M=3.85).Social factors in love preference of college students are negatively correlated with openness of personality traits(r=-0.131**),self-affirmation of self-esteem(r=-0.108**)and closeness of attachment style(r=-0.098**).The social factors in college students’ love preference were positively correlated with self-love factors of self-esteem(r=0.092**)and anxiety factors of attachment style(r= 0.126**).The physical factors in college students’ love preference were negatively correlated with conscientiousness of personality traits(r=-0.098**),self-esteem(r=-0.084**),closeness factors in college students’ attachment style(r=-0.125**),and maternal encouragement factors in parental rearing style(r=-0.089**).The physical factors in college students’ love preference were positively correlated with the anxiety factors in college students’ attachment style(r=0.169**)and the father’s encouragement factors in their parenting style(r=0.081*).Personality factors in love preference of college students were positively correlated with extroversion(r=0.108**),self-esteem(r=0.190**),self-confidence(r=0.218**),anxiety factors in love style(r=0.064*),father care factors in family rearing style(r=0.194**),and mother care factors in family rearing style(r=0.233**).3、Regression analysis was conducted on the social factors of college students’ love preference.Anxiety in gender,grade and attachment style was included in the equation to jointly explain 26.3% of the social factors of college students’ love preference.The regression analysis was made on the physical factors of college students’ love preference,including gender,education background,love experience,openness of personality traits,self-esteem,anxiety of attachment style and dependence entry equation,to jointly explain 8.2% of the physical factors of college students’ love preference.The regression analysis of the personality factors of college students’ love preference shows that gender,self-esteem,self-confidence,attachment style anxiety and paternal encouragement are included in the equation to jointly explain 32.3% of the personality factors of college students’ love preference.4、To construct the structural equation model affecting college students’ love preference,the fitting index of the relationship model between demographic variables including grade,gender,educational background and love experience and college students’ love preference is RMSEA=0.055,GFI=0.944,AGFI=0.968,and CFI=0.987.The fitting indexes of the relationship model between the psychological factors including father encouragement,attachment style anxiety and dependency dimension and college students’ love preference were RMSEA=0.029,GFI=0.998,AGFI =0.987,and CFI=0.997.The fitting index belongs to the fitting range and the model structure is good.Analysis conclusion:1、The questionnaire on college students’ love preference has good reliability and validity,and is suitable for assessing college students’ love preference.2、College students’ love preference attaches more importance to personality factors.3、The love preference of college students is different in gender,singleton or not,education background,grade,place of origin and love experience.Personality traits,self-esteem,self-confidence,attachment style and parenting style are related to college students’ love preference.4、Gender,grade,educational background,love experience,anxiety and dependence of attachment style,and father encouragement of parenting style can predict college students’ love preference.
