Lin Huiyin has multiple identities in the modern history.As an architect,she devoted her whole life to the study of Chinese ancient architecture.She is also a writer which is classified as Crescent poet and Beijing style writer in the modern literature history.She is also the hostess of the literature salon "wife's living room".It is precisely because of the rich profusion of Lin Huiyin's identity that her criticism also covers a very wide range.This thesis takes Lin Huiyin's criticism as the research object,teases out and studies her criticism articles from different angles and tries to explore the complex relationship between her criticism in different periods and cultural thoughts at that time.The article is divided into four chapters to elaborate the point.The first chapter is mainly about Lin Huiyin's studiy in 1980 s.Lin Huiyin returned to the public's vision in the 1980 s.In the field of architecture,Lin Huiyn assisted Liang Sicheng to complete the A pictorial history of Chinese architecture in her lifetime,which was published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Press in the United States;In the field of literature,the People 's Literature Publishing House published the Lin Huiyin's poetry collection in 1985.From the perspectives of literature and architecture,this chapter attempts to analyze the reasons for Lin huiyin's restudy in the 1980sIn the second chapter,Comment articles focus on the critical of Lin huiyi n's gender identity is the main research object.With the rise of feminist literar y criticism in the 1990 s,gender perspective has become a new research perspe ctive to examine Lin Huiyin's literature.At the same time,popular culture has become a trend that cannot be ignored.Driven by popular culture and consu mer market,Lin Huiyin has changed from a scholar to a socialite.From the p erspectives of feminist criticism and popular culture,this chapter attempts to state the misreading of Lin Huiyin's female identity in the 1990 s.The third chapter makes a point from cultural criticism.In Lin Huiyin's literary works,her thoughts about the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture and absorption of western culture are always the focus of the researchers.From the new era to the new century,how to deal with the relationship between the local traditional culture and the foreign modern culture has always been a topic concerned by the cultural circle.In her creations,Chinese and Western culture can coexist in a harmonious way,which provides an excellent model for the way to deal with the relationship between Chinese and Western culture in the new era and the new century.Another important cultural research perspective since the new era is the study of "wife's living room".Since the new era,researchers have changed their mind to the irony of our wife's living room and cat,and affirmed the cultural significance of "wife's living room" from the perspective of elite culture.This chapter takes the critical articles from the perspectives of Chinese and western culture and elite culture as the main object,trying to explain the critical motivation and research mentality of the literary scholars and explore the relationship between Lin Huiyin's criticism and current cultural thoughts.
