Wu Xichou,a literati of late Song(1214-1276),with the style name of Yuanlun,came from Xiuning,Huizhou.He was a brother's grandson of Wu Jingzhi,who was a governor of West Guangnanlu,and the son of Wu Hou,a recluse.Since his childhood,Wu Xichou had been fond of learning.When he grew up,he was recommended by the prefecture chief of Nankang to take charge of White Deer Cave Academy.He quit the job and became a hermit in the mountainous forests.He composed the poetry of Langao Collection in later years.In this paper,Langao Collection is regarded as the research object,in combination with Wu Xichou's lifetime,family background,journey and era environment,the poetry of Wu Xichou can be better interpreted.This collection of poems includes three chapters.Chapter I.The Introduction of Wu Xichou's Lifetime,Family Background,Journey.Referring to the works such as Record of Xin An Xue Xi,Xin An Ming Zu Record,Xiuning County Record,Supplementary of History of Song,Cases of Song Yuan Xue.Wu Xichou's dates of birth and death,family background,journey were sorted out by combining with the works in Langao Collection,so as to analyze the external environment formed by Wu Xichou's poetry ideological content and artistic style.Chapter II.The Discussion of Wu Xichou's Poetry Content,Interpretation of Wu Xichou's Poetry Based on Subjects and Connotations.The existed poetry of Wu Xichou being saved in Langao Collection.After simplifying and outlining the contents of Langao Collection by Wu Xichou in his later years,although the number of poetry is small,the subjects are very rich and mainly fall into Four Seasons Poem,Poetry Chanting Things,Traveler Poetry and Reclusion Poetry.These contents represented that Wu Xichou's ideal of becoming a lofty and unsullied hermit.At the same time,as a native of Xiuning,Huizhou,Wu Xichou was profoundly affected by neo-confucianism thought,his works displayed his pursuit of philosophic interest.Chapter III.The Explanation of Wu Xichou's Poetic Style and the Interpretation of Formative Factor of Wu Xichou's Poetic Style.There were numerous poetry depicting landscapes in Langao Collection,and the poems have plain languages with fresh poeticstyle.In this chapter,the poetry of Wu Xichou was interpreted from the perspective of Wu Family Poetic Creation Rheology;Analyzing the influence of Xin An Neo-Confucianism on Wu Xichou's poetry;Discussing the patriotism of Wu Xichou's poetry by associating with the vicissitude of the Southern Song Dynasty;Fang Yue was Wu Xichou's friend and had a great impact on Wu Xichou,the relationship between Fang Yue and Wu Xichou to analyze the cause of Wu Xichou's poetic style.
