A Study On The "Comment" Of Tang Dynasty's Legendary Novels

In the course of development of ancient Chinese classical novels,the status of Tang legend cannot be underestimated.This article studies Tang legends with“comment”as an entry point,and strives to understand the true creation style of the Tang Dynasty society by examining the author's subjective attitude;at the same time,“ comment ” is also one of the characteristics of the narrative art of legend,and it also witnesses and influenced the progress and development of the legendary narrative.It can be seen that “comment”has different meanings and values for the in-depth study of legends in terms of content and form.In the first part,this article takes a holistic view to grasp the relevant content of the "comment" in the legendary novels of the Tang Dynasty,and uses the theme of "comment" as the basis for classification.In the end,four types can be summarized: propagating Buddhism for the purpose of educating people;commenting on women with different opinions;,criticizing reality to express indignation;exclaiming at the strangeness of things for the purpose of entertainment.In the specific narrative process,the typical "comment" is used as an example to distinguish the differences of each type,and they are compared longitudinally with the novels of the Six Dynasties to show the uniqueness and progress of the "comment" of the Tang legend.The second part is to explore the reasons for the "comment".This article mainly starts from the three aspects,and review the connotation of the "comment" in the legendary novels of the Tang Dynasty.In the legend,nearly three-quarters of the creators are officials in the dynasty.They are bound to be infiltrated by Confucianism.In addition,due to the influence of the Tang Dynasty Imperial Examination environment,they have cultivated a group of literary scholars who have both legendary and creative talents.Because of the relationship between career and academics,these writerscould not be outside the current political environment,and the "comment" in the novel was originally developed due to the discussion of political affairs.Therefore,political-related ideas and events not only become the subject of discussion,It can guide the author's discussion trend and stimulate the desire for discussion.The above is the author's own subjective initiative to create,but as everyone knows,in the Tang Dynasty with open minds and frequent cultural exchanges,the strong motivation of readers to singular words is also constantly looking forward to commenting and communicating with the author,thus creating a good speech environment for comments.In the third part,the research of Tang Dynasty's "comment" is transferred from the inner core to the outer shell,which is the expression form and characteristics of "comment".During this period,"argumentation" is no longer a single argumentation of historical biography,the use of dialogue forms makes it richer,and their performances are also different.Straightforward and euphemistic dialogues,or a more specific form of praise,make the legendary "comment" colorful,which is also one of the performances that it has moved away from historical literature and gradually become independent of style.In the fourth part,because the essence of legend is narrative literature,the author puts "comment" in the narrative environment of the legend,and analyzes its main role as the artistic feature of the legend narrative.At this time,the "comment" is indeed closely related to the various elements of the legend,and in its unique way,the character of the legend is shaped,and the development of the storyline is promoted.At the same time,it continues its own work,making the article clear.Throughout the above research,"comment" relies on the performance of all kinds of progress in the legend to continuously drive the change of its content and the progress of narrative,so as to pursue the independence of style.
