On Translator's Subjectivity From The Semiotic View Of Meaning

Translators cannot be ignored in translation activities.Translators are both authors and readers,and play an important role in cultural communication.With the improvement of translators' status,various researches on translators are also increasing.Scholars regard translators as the subject of translation and begin to pay attention to the translator's own quality,translation strategies,and the impact of social and cultural environment on translators.Translator's subjectivity is one of the hot research issues in this field.Domestic and foreign scholars have studied the issue of translator's subjectivity from various perspectives such as hermeneutics,ecology,and feminism,and carried out heated discussions.Since the research on the subjectivity of translators is not long,this has led to inadequacy and limitations in every perspective,so there is still much to explore about the subjectivity of translators.This article combines the concept of semiotic meaning with the concept of translator?s subjectivity in terms of philosophy.From the perspective of Russian-Chinese literary translation,this article analyzes and compares the differences among the three Chinese versions from Lu Xun,Man Tao& Xu Qingdao and Lou Ziliang of Dead Souls,and explores the relationship,influencing factors,and concrete manifestations of the three characteristics of translator's subjectivity(activity,passivity,egoism)in linguistic,referential and pragmatic translation.The significance of this article is to further affirm the translator's status,enable translators to face their own identity in translation,and promote the accumulation of relevant translation experience and skills.
