An English-chinese Translation Report From The Perspective Of Eco-translatology Theory

The problem of greenhouse effect is becoming more and more serious,and the global warming caused by it has become an important restricting factor for the sustainable development of global economy and the society.In the implementation of sustainable development strategy,the emission reduction of greenhouse gas is undoubtedly a core factor.Bioenergy is an important way to reduce emissions,but there are few works about it in China,whose number directly affects the development of domestic bioenergy theory and practice.Originating from Darwin's theory of evolution,eco-translatology is the integration of the Theory of Evolution and translatology,whose combination further enriches translation theories and to some degree provides more theoretical selections and guidance for the author.Taking Greenhouse Gas Balances of Bioenergy Systems for example and selecting typical vocabularies and sentences from it,the report has studied the translation of scientific and technological texts from the perspective of eco-translatology.The case study of the report focus on the words,sentences or paragraphs in the book and the theory adopted is the three-dimension transformation of language,culture and communication in eco-translatology,as well as the theory of translators' adaptation and selection.The research framework is constructed from the perspectives of vocabulary,syntax and text.In the report,the case study is to analyze the adaptation of translators,evaluate the gains and losses of the translation,and improve the quality of the translation.Through the comparison of these three dimensions,the report finds that the characteristics of language dimension are the most obvious one.Because of the large number of professional words,abbreviations and passive sentences in scientific and technological texts,the adaptation of language dimension is mainly realized through free translation,the culture dimension through the adjustment of the sentence order,and the communication dimension through addition and conversion method,the adoption of which is to supplement necessary information and clarify logical relations of the translated text.It is hoped that through the combination of eco-translatology and translation,contributions will be made to the development of bioenergy theory and practice.
