Research On The Game Teaching Used In Lead-in Of English Class In Primary School

With the development of economy,English has become the most widely used language in the world,and English elementary education has also been paid more and more attention.The use of game teaching in the lead-in of primary school English class can quickly arouse students' enthusiasm for learning English and concentrate their attention in a very short period of time,thus mobilize students' initiative and motility in learning English,enabling them to get into a good atmosphere for learning English.Based on the Constructivism Theory and Multiple Intelligence Theory this study investigated the students from Grade 3 to Grade 6 and their teachers of J Primary School in Changchun as the subject.Through the questionnaires,interviews and classroom observations,the study aims to understand the current situation of game teaching in primary school English class,and summarizes the types of games commonly used in primary school English teaching and the effect of game teaching in the lead-in.Besides,this study mainly explores the following two questions: 1)What kinds of games are commonly used in the lead-in of primary school English teaching? 2)How effective is game teaching in the lead-in of primary school English class?The results show that the use of game teaching in lead-in of primary school English class can greatly improve students' learning enthusiasm and interest,and there are five kinds of games commonly used in primary school English teaching: vocabulary games,voice games,role-play games,sentence games and spelling games.In addition,the use of game teaching in the lead-in has stimulated students' learning interest and motivation,and aroused students' attention to teaching content.It is hoped that the results of this study can give some inspiration to primary school English teachers while using game teaching,improve the combination of game teaching and primary school English teaching better,and strive to make game teaching play a greater role in primary school English class.
