Xinjian district is located north of central Jiangxi Province and northwest of Nanchang.It faces Nanchang city and county across the Ganjiang River in the east,adjacent to Fengcheng in the south,borders Gao'an,Anyi,and Wanli in the west,connects with Yongxiu in the northwest.The northeast is adjacent to Poyang Lake,Duchang and Yugan,separated by the suburbs of Nanchang City,making the county divided into two parts,the upper and lower Xinjian,and the county is narrow and long.So far,no scholars have done a comprehensive and systematic study of Xinjian dialect.Based on field surveys,this article comprehensively uses linguistics and dialectics and other related theories to describe Xinjian dialect system and its characteristics.It also summarizes types,diachronic investigation s,synchronic comparisons,and literature reading.And other methods,a systematic and in-depth study of Xinjian dialect.Xinjian dialect has 20 initials(including zero initials)and voiced nasal initials[n],but only for the colloquial pronunciation and mood of”you”;and 61 finals(including three self-contained syllables[m][n][(?)]),of which are no pinch of mouth and[-m][-p]are incorporated into the rhyme[-n][-t];and 10 tones,ping,qu and ru marked as yin and yang,Voiced tone are Classified as yangqu,Whether or not aspirate affects the differentiation of tone types.Yangping,Shangsheng,and Yinqu are divided into two tone types according to the initial sound of aspirate.This article also explores the internal differences between Xinjian dialect and summarizes the basic basis for the division of the upper and lower Xinjian dialect.Moreover,through synchronic comparison with Nanchang and Yongxiu dialects,the characteristics of Xinjian dialects are revealed,and their dialect features are presented in multiple dimensions.
