A Study On The Phonetics Of Dongxiang Dialect

Dongxiang is a part of Fuzhou where located in the east of Jiangxi province.Dongxiang which borders Yujiang to the east,Linchuan to the south,Jinxian to the west,Yugan to the north,Jinxi to the southeast.Dongxiang dialect is on the boundary of Fuguang dialect and Yingyi dialect,but which are always included in Gan Dialect of Fuguang by scholars.Though Dongxiang dialect is heavily affected by Fuguang,and have strong consistency,it effected by Yingyi dialect to some extent.a particular Dongxiang dialect has been thus formed.Dongxiang dialect has 20 initials(included zero initials),of which included turbid nasal voice as n.nimu is opposite to laimu;and 63 finals(included two syllables),of which are no pinch of mouth and-m?-p have incorporated into the consonant-n?-t;and 7 tone,ping,qu marked as yin and yang,most of the Voiced tone are Classified as yang,few is Classified as yin.So far,there is no comprehensive or systematic study on the dogxiang dialect.On the basis of authors' fieldwork,this paper employ the method of comparative analysis descripted the the voice system of Dongxiang dialect.On this basis,explored the development of the dongxiang dialect by comparing with the Ancient Chinese Phonology.In the paper have also inspected the evolution of Dongxiang dialect by analysising of the differences between the ancient dialect and contemporary dialect.Finally in the paper have discussed the differences and cause of formation to the purpose of highlighted the characteristics of Dongxiang dialect by researching the dngxing,Linchuan and Yugan dialect.
