Study On The Influence Of Common Language Relationship On International Service Trade

Decades of globalization have shown that culture has a profound and subtle influence on economic growth and its related activities.The global economy has formed a huge and complex network of economic relations through trade;meanwhile,the world economy and its related activities are embedded in the complex networks,including language relations.Therefore,the existing research is based on the social network,from the perspective of the relationship between economy and society,to explore and explain the structural characteristics and evolution trend of the International Economic network will have very important practical and theoretical significance.In view of this,this paper reviews and sorts out the related research at home and abroad,and studies the influence mechanism and effect of international common language relationship on international service trade network from the perspective of social network analysis.The thesis attempts to answer the following questions: how has the common language relationship and international service trade relationship of various countries and regions in the world been developed? How does the common language relationship affect the structure and evolution of the global service trade relationship network? If some economies are in a dominant position in the international common language network,how will this advantage help them to trade in services and exert external influence?After verifying the integrity and validity of the current data of bilateral service trade and common language relations,this paper describes and constructs the two relations networks from the mathematical level.After analyzing the structure and evolution of the two kinds of relationship networks,the research finds that the global service trade relationship network has a very high concentration.Most countries and regions are increasingly connected in the network,but the heterogeneity of the three indicators,i.e.,output strength,input strength and trade network relationship strength,is continuously enhanced;the International common language network is very dense as a whole,and the number of nodes connected is small.Moreover,the International common language network is represented by several discrete communities.Firstly,the paper uses the QAP analysis method to investigate the strength of the connection between the International common language network and the International service trade network.It is found that the impact of the International common language relationship on international trade in services has weakened significantly in the whole period from 2004 to 2014.Although the time series available for international trade in services is relatively short,this trend remains clear and has changed significantly faster than international trade in goods.This means that trade in services between countries or regions around the world is indeed increasingly deviating from traditional cultural ties.From the perspective of the global service trade network,the global service trade is gradually converging to the large language community and the core countries of the language community.The results show that: first,the large international service trade relations network is mainly composed of countries and regions with strong economic strength and large population,and the trade relations in the larger community of service trade relations have strong joint development inertia,which will become more obvious if embedded in the international common language relations network;second,countries or regions with stronger and wider common language relations are more likely to have and control more trade relations in the international service trade network under the condition of strong professional production capacity.If there is a situation of complementary division of labor and a strong common language relationship among countries,it is easier to form a win-win two-way trade;third,because of the scale effect of large common language relationship network,its marginal cost of expansion continues to decrease,a country or region has the core status in the international common language relationship network,will really form a strong role in promoting its status and influence in the international service trade network.It also proves once again from a new perspective that Western cultural hegemony does exist and will not be weakened in the short term by the trend of global pluralism.
