The eastern jin dynasty was a period of patriarchal politics.Under the patriarchal political ecology, the state power was invaded by the gentry, and the regal power lost its absolute authority, which was likely to decline. For more than one hundred years, the upper reaches of the town of jiangzuo, relying on the control of local power, gradually formed a military and political force with distinct regional colors, namely "jingzhou group".The relationship between jingzhou group and imperial power became one of the driving forces for the historical development of the eastern jin dynasty.During this period, the wangs in langya took jingzhou as the capital and had a special mind, and in the process of revolting against the central government, they were defeated due to the opposition of the northern and southern gentry. With the rise of the yu family as a consort, yingchuan family tried its best to restrain the powerful power and centralize the royal family in jingzhou,so as to maintain the symbiosis and co-governance between the gentry and the imperial power.Qiao guo huan's family, during the period of huan wen and huan xuan, went down from the east of jingzhou several times and threatened the central government. In the face of the upstream gentry power, the imperial family of the eastern jin dynasty often thought of measures to cheer up,but failed to break the door politics and had little effect. In the last years of the eastern jin dynasty, with the expansion of the beifu warrior forces, especially represented by liu yu's weakening the power of jingzhou and restraining the power of the gentry, the gentry gradually lost control of the regime. In the southern dynasties after the establishment of liu song dynasty, the monarchs initiated the transformation of the imperial power politics under the awakening of self-consciousness,which indicated the dawn of the revival of the traditional imperial power politics of centralization and absolute monarchy.
