Chinese counterfactual conditional sentences play a very important role in daily communication.As part of the study on second language(L2)acquisition,it is conducive to the study of Chinese as L2 acquisition for native English speakers.Some problems are identified in the process of acquisition of counterfactual conditional sentences in this paper,with practical experience taken into account.From this,we can analyze the use of counterfactual sentences both at home and abroad.Having analyzed counterfactual conditional sentence in the L2 acquisition in China,some expected assumptions of the acquired characteristics be proposed that Chinese learners who are native speakers of English may encounter during the process of counterfactual conditional sentence acquisition.On this basis,this paper combines HSK dynamic composition corpus and "Criterion for Chinese levels and hierarchy of grammar points" to design related test papers.Then the 87 valid collected test papers will be analyzed from different angles.According to the results of this analysis,this paper will try to further certify our conclusions by way of personal interview.After carrying out multi-dimensional data processing and analysis,the learning difficulty level and acquisition order characteristics of English native speakers in the process of Chinese counterfactual conditional sentence acquisition will be understood.Also,the learner's specific language application level characteristics when encountering these sentence patterns will simultaneously be demonstrated in this paper.The results obtained from the analysis will echo the expected assumptions made at the beginning of the study as well as reconcile the similarities and differences.A corresponding theoretical attribution analysis will also be made,and further considerations will be put forward.In the conclusion,the research process of this paper will be reviewed and reflected on.Hoping that over the course of second language acquisition,Chinese counterfactual conditional sentences can gain a wider research space and get more attention.
