Conditional complex sentences are one of the most typical and commonly used types of complex sentences in Chinese,and are also a key and difficult point for international students to acquire Chinese,with a high error rate in practical applications.Starting from the perspective of second language acquisition and based on the theory of error analysis,this paper investigates and analyzes the acquisition errors and teaching strategies of Chinese conditional complex sentences by English native language international students using methods such as error analysis,comparative analysis,statistical analysis,questionnaire survey,and corpus analysis.Firstly,this article uses comparative analysis to compare Chinese conditional complex sentences with conditional sentences in English,and analyzes the acquisition order,acquisition of related words,and key sentence structures of Chinese conditional complex sentences by English native students.Then,from the perspective of Chinese conditional complex sentence conjunctions,by collecting the HSK dynamic composition corpus and the Chinese conditional complex sentence survey questionnaire for native English students,statistical analysis of the biased corpus is conducted to grasp the specific situation of Chinese conditional complex sentences learned by native English students,and four types of bias are summarized,namely omission,substitution,addition,and others,It is believed that the negative transfer of English native language and the generalization of Chinese knowledge among international students are the main reasons for the errors in acquiring Chinese conditional complex sentences.At the same time,learning strategies,communication strategies,and learning environment are all the reasons for the errors.On this basis,teachers’ teaching strategies and students’ learning strategies for acquiring Chinese conditional complex sentences for native English students are proposed from the perspectives of teaching and learning.Based on the analysis of Chinese textbooks related to conditional complex sentences,writing suggestions are proposed.Finally,a detailed teaching plan is designed for three typical conditional complex sentences with high frequency of use,hoping to be helpful to the practice of Chinese as a foreign language,reduce errors in the acquisition of Chinese conditional complex sentences by native English students,and provide a certain reference for the teaching of Chinese conditional complex sentences.
