This article takes 2017-2019 as the time frame to make a systematic analysis of Chinese art films during the exhibition.First of all,the comparative study is used to explain the participation of Chinese art films in the past three years.It is concluded that the International Film Festival is more focused on the universal expression of mainstream values based on the quality of art.The local film festival is focusing on the development of society.On the basis of function,it tends to be more inclusive of national culture.However,because of the special nature of Chinese text,Chinese art films are greatly affected by the decoding ability of local audiences.Secondly,using the theory of field theory to analyze the mode of festival communication taking the Shanghai International Film Festival as a case,the dynamic process of Chinese art film exhibition and communication was deconstructed into power relationship,capital relationship and habitual relationship.The organic interaction of the three relationships constitutes the film festival.At the same time,the field has unique dynamic logic and characteristics.In the mode of participation communication,the social field,art field and media field all play a corresponding role.The dilemma faced by contemporary Chinese art film participation in communication is not a simple,chain-like,isolated dilemma.In the process of participation and communication,in terms of power relations,the film festival unit setting plays a major role,and there are problems such as low levels of authority,insufficient change promotion,and policy-oriented limitations;in terms of capital relations,the film festival still has a high degree of participation.And the capital imbalance;in terms of habitual relations,the quality of the art film itself affects the public's decision-making,and the film festival also faces the problem of shaping public habits.Therefore,the film festival needs to make efforts in improving the level of authority,optimizing the exhibition strategy and paying attention to cultural matching.At the same time,it needs to add support links and adjust the benefit ratio.It also needs to coordinate the agenda setting and focus on the artistic image of the film festival.Finally,contemporary Chinese art films need to further expand their power in popularizing regional culture and inclusive experimental styles.
