Cezanne advocated that painters should reset the arrangement and depict a new "nature" according to the intuitive feelings in the face of nature, which shook the foundation of tradition and laid a foundation for the generation of abstract art.Kandinsky's first abstract watercolor painting in 1910 marked the birth of abstract art and had epoch-making significance. In theory,Kandinsky inherited from Cezanne the emphasis on the intuitive feelings of artists in the face of nature, rather than the traditional emphasis on the imitation of objective objects and images in painting, created a unique form of expression of abstract art,and established the original theoretical system of abstract art.Kandinsky's abstract art theory on abstract art spirit has a great influence on contemporary art and later modern and contemporary art.The body part mainly starts with the background and origin of Kandinsky's abstract artistic spirit, and firstly sorts out the social background, ideological origin and the theory and practice of providing ideological inspiration for the occurrence of abstract art in the development of art.Through the discussion of the society, thought and art development process before abstract art,it can be clearly seen that Kandinsky's theory of abstract art spirit came into being in accordance with the self-discipline of art development and the trend of historical development. In the second chapter,we directly discuss the essence of Kandinsky's abstract artistic spirit. This chapter is divided into two sections, first, from the point of view of rational and intuitive coexist "inner need" principle,in Kandinsky's theory of "intrinsic demand" contains the basic principles of the abstract painting, the art should show "abstract",should be shown as a kind of both the demand for the artist's own internal thinking, and the rational exploration of art forms of objective spirit of the universe. In the second section,we will discuss Kandinsky's universal consciousness of pursuing harmony and unity in the spirit of abstract art.Kandinsky attaches great importance to the "harmony" of artistic expression, which is not only the harmony among various forms of artistic language, but also the harmony between the individual artist's soul and the universal spirit. The picture harmony in Kandinsky's painting works is inseparable from the rational cognition and symbolic expression of the painting elements. However, the harmony pursued by abstract art from the perspective of "internal needs" is full of Kandinsky's profound thinking on the expression of human mind and the law of the development of art itself should be in step with the movement and development of the universe. This kind of advanced cosmic consciousness is the premise for Kandinsky to lead modern art to a deeper and further road of artistic development. The third chapter discusses the manifestation(composition)of Kandinsky's abstract artistic spirit, mainly from the aspects of abstractness and musicality.First,it is abstract. The main elements in abstract paintings are color and form.Color itself does not have emotional directivity, but Kandinsky endowed color with new emoticons and symbols, thus making color abstract. The composition,Kandinsky explained,is a spiritual composition composed of the external manifestation structure and the recessive structure of the painting elements and the relationship between the elements, which itself carries the rational thinking and intuitive expression of the artist. This paper discusses the abstraction of Kandinsky's spirit of abstract art from two aspects: the abstraction of color and the abstraction of composition.Kandinsky's pursuit of the musicality of painting is also an important part of his abstract artistic spirit.Kandinsky believed that music is the purest and most exciting art form,so he devoted himself to the development of painting art into color music. Here,I mainly discussed the musicality of abstract art spirit and form. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the meaning and influence of Kandinsky's abstract artistic spirit.First of all, from Kandinsky's theory of abstract art spirit and the form of artistic expression themselves,it combines the performance of the subject and the abstraction of the objective inner spirit, which is a complete rebellion against the traditional western concept of figurative modeling. At the same time, his exploration and summary of the spirit of abstract art also had a profound influence on the later generations, especially the later abstract expressionism. The abstract thinking methods of modern art he established all reflect the aesthetic and modeling concepts of modernity, and exude the light of rational exploration and the brilliance of inner spirit.Kandinsky,as the most theoretical painter among the representatives of the abstract school, was the first artist who really tried to present music on canvas. At the same time, his abstract painting theory has unique views on the content, formal elements, color andcomposition of paintings, etc.Kandinsky's artistic spirit has provided new artistic concepts and methods of artistic expression for the art in the 20 th century and after.Kandinsky's abstract artistic concept and artistic practice also made outstanding contributions in exploring the relationship between art and human subject spirit. It can be said that Kandinsky's abstract painting theory is a window to show modernist art.
