Research On Mu Guiying Theme Operas

Mu Guiying is a famous heroine in Chinese culture.Since the Ming Dynasty,the novels and operas that used it as the narrative center have been widely spread,and have been loved and sought after by ordinary people.The relatively complete image of Mu Guiying can be seen in volume 5 of yangjiafu’s popular romance of loyalty and bravery from generation to generation published in the thirty fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty.With the reception and dissemination of the novel,the stage performance of Mu Guiying’s story theme is very popular.In the past,the academic circle paid less attention to the series of operas with Mu Guiying as the story theme,and lacked the research on Mu Guiying.This paper focuses on the overall and overall study of Mu Guiying’s dramas,combing the origin and evolution of the narrative of relevant dramas,explaining the character characteristics of the characters in the dramas,elaborating the ideological and cultural connotation of Mu Guiying’s dramas,and analyzing their overall artistic characteristics.The article consists of five parts:The first part: introduction,on the basis of the previous academic research on Mu Guiying’s drama,supplement the deficiency of the research results of Mu Guiying’s drama;second,analyze the academic value of Mu Guiying’s drama;third,point out the research methods adopted and the innovation of Mu Guiying’s drama.The second part: the first part is the historical change of the classicalization of Mu Guiying’s theme.In Ming Dynasty,two novels,yangjiafu generation loyal and brave popular romance and southern and Northern Song Zhizhuan,recorded Mu Guiying’s stories,have the dual value of historical narration and literary narration;secondly,it explains the evolution and context cause of Mu Guiying’s narration in detail.Through sorting out the historical materials of Mu Guiying’s dramas in the middle and late Qing Dynasty,this paper mainly criticizes the frequently performed dramas mu kezhai,Bai Hu Tang and Po Hong Zhou,and comprehensively analyzes the changes of Mu Guiying’s dramas.The third part: To study the role image of Mu Guiying’s drama.This paper focuses on the image of Mu Guiying,supplemented by the images of Yang Zongbao,Yang yanzhao,she Taijun and other secondary figures,carefully reads the drama script of Mu Guiying andsummarizes the main character characteristics of Mu Guiying and other figures.The fourth part: the ideological meaning of Mu Guiying’s drama.First,based on the narrative plot elements of Mu Guiying’s drama,this paper analyzes the implied tendency of "strong women and weak men" and the cultural significance of "heroines".Secondly,the narrative transformation from "Phoenix seeking Phoenix" to "Phoenix seeking Phoenix","gifted scholars and beauties" to "battlefield marriage" reveals the development of Mu Guiying’s drama on the concrete depiction of the motif of traditional love literature.Third,it reveals the choice of personal value,strong national spirit and weak passivity in family life.The fifth part: the artistic characteristics of Mu Guiying’s drama.This paper reveals the characteristics of Mu Guiying’s drama from the perspectives of plot setting,language use and stage performance.
