No country without virtue,no man without virtue.Since ancient times,moral education has been an important field and an important content of education.However,moral education cannot be simply summed up as "mechanical teaching" or "specific moral education subject".Real moral education should permeate the whole process and every link of education with an openly attitude.General secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that to strengthen moral education in schools and make good use of class teaching as the main channel at the ideological and political work of colleges and universities conference.While improving and strengthening ideological and political ethics courses,other courses should keep a section of channel and cultivate responsibility fields.Making all kinds of courses and ideological and political ethics courses in the same direction,forming a collaborative effect.This conclusion clearly points out the importance of ideological and political thinking in the subject curriculum.As one of the main subjects in the basic education stage,English has the dual characteristics of tool and humanity,and contains rich moral implications,which plays an important role in school moral education.This study takes people's education edition's primary school English textbooks as the research object.First,analyzes the composition and presentation of moral educational content in primary school English textbooks;then,summarizes the characteristics that textbook moral educational content's composition and presentation;then,on the basis of teacher's interview results,puts forward some suggestions on setting moral education content and teaching in primary school English textbooks.The study consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the reason of the topic,the purpose and significance of theresearch,the research content,specific ideas and research methods,and sorts out the literature.The second part analyzes the primary school English textbook moral education content's analytical dimension,the moral education content setting of each grade textbook,and the moral education content composition characteristics.The third part analyzes the presentation of primary school English textbook's moral education content,forming the aspects of unit theme,illustration,structure system and presentation characteristics.In the fourth part,interviews primary school English teachers to understand current situation about the implementation of moral educational content,finds that there are some problems,such as,hidden moral education content is difficult to explore,moral education mode is single,and the moral value of English has not been paid much attention.In the fifth part,puts forward the suggestions of setting up the moral education content from four aspects: adding cultural dimension content,expanding the content of loving the motherland,scientific layout content of moral education,and coordinating the content of moral education of various systems.Then summarizes teaching suggestions from the following aspects:improving teachers' consciousness of subject moral education,accurately grasping the content of moral education in textbooks,deepening the understanding of curriculum standards and moral education documents,and enriching the ways of moral education.
